I haven't heard anything about Captain Marvel yet; given the trailer hasn't dropped and that she's been one of the heavy hitters in the canon since the 1970s, is there any actual grumbling or is it all hallucinations of the press?

Carol Danvers has been all over the place power-wise. She spent a stretch as a depowered X-men hanger-on when Rogue stole her powers, then got re-powered as Binary, and so on and so forth. The thing is, she's always been a not particularly interesting D-lister for as long she's been around. Prominent Marvel women tend to be on the X-Men.

It is. I live in a city where the big all but 1 of the employers shut down long ago.
The difference is that Bob looks down on those people. I usually feel bad them, because who wants to work at a low wage, boring, sometimes labour intensive job with no real possibility for promotion? Not only that, but their job is at risk with every shift in the breeze related to the industry or the politics around it.
I don't know why, but that cover reminds me of the Green Lantern movie, and not in a good way.I will post the image here. Is is me or does Brie Larson look completely bored? Jason Mamoa can pull off stoic badass because he actually looks intimidating. Larson looks like someone Thanos could easily backhand.

This bugged me with a coworker who spoke about wanting to "supprot CRA" but I can't get them to watch a bollywood film I've recommended. You know, a LITERAL asian movie made by LITERAL asians.
I mean give me something like "Who Killed Captain Alex?" over Black Panther any day. If you want to talk about Crazy Rich Asians, watch Baahubali parts 1 & 2. It frustrates me that in an age we can watch movies made literally from other countries the "celebrate diversity" crowd just wants their safe hollywood pablum color corrected instead of supporting real industries from those diverse places.
Yeah Brie Larson is one of those I just don't see the appeal of. Is Hollywood just going through a forehead phase right now? (looking at you, Daisy Ridley)

Bob being vehemently pro-choice is silly because it'll never become an issue for him and for a so called "objective thinker", his "IT'S JUST A CLUMP OF CELLS" is stupid for two major reasons.
Basically Bob's hurting his own "side" by using an argument that's just a rationalization so you don't feel guilt for making your decision. That's just escaping reality and downplaying a SERIOUS ISSUE. I've seen women who had to give up what would've been their child due to complications that could've killed them both had they carried the child to term, to compare it to...dealing with an infection or popping a pimple is highly disrespectful and inaccurate.
I "agree" with Bob but he's a moron that shouldn't argue anything as he doesn't understand anything.
