How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

I am curious as to what Bob will feel about the Midterms if the Democrats won. Considering how he is very predictable with loss considering how it has been seen, I am curious about a victory for Bob.

He considered being re-hired at the Escapist a win, and he was bragging about it.

Obviously I would not be surprised at all if this doesn't even work for blue checkmarks, but if someone here has too much time on their hands...
He abuses the reporting system on that website and is a legitimate threat to the platform's of other people.

As fun as that would be, and as much as he deserves it, I want to see how long it is until he's banned for his own bullshit. Bob is always pissing off the left and the right, calling groups he doesn't like subhuman, obsolete, wasteland ghouls, whitebread, and various other "dehumanizing" insults, and recently calling for people to harass politicians. So it's going to happen sooner or later.

I'd be willing to bet that bob thinks "Thinkers build things. Believers break things." could gain traction on twitter if he just repeats it enough.

He did coin the phrase "No bad tactics, only bad targets".

absolutely nobody was saying "hurr durr, its ok to rape women"

Bob was saying that, though I guess that rule only applies to film critics.

I'd be willing to bet that bob thinks "Thinkers build things. Believers break things." could gain traction on twitter if he just repeats it enough. The same as his "better america for better americans" catchphrase. Both strike me as being calculated attempts at creating a slogan that, if they do take off, he can then leech some success/followers/patron$ from.
I mean it might but it's really just an even less nuanced and thought out version of the "sheeple" meme. The fact you can search "believe" and get tons of tweets from himself about things he believes, not thinks, is an example of why it's a stupid slogan.

But at the end of the day, I don't want to see him banned, because someone on this thread would have to start watching his videos and reading his tortured prose wherever he posts it after @Sexy Times Hitler threw up his hands in despair at not having a digestible Twitter feed to scan.
>Implying I wouldn't be fucking overjoyed if that happened.

If you have to repeat something to insist that it's true, then it's false.

I for one hope that a fatass from Boston gets his ass kicked by a bunch of doomsday preppers with crosses, American flags, and Donald Trump on their weapons. Be right back, converting a bunker into a theater.

It'll never happen, sadly. He'll never leave the comfort of his basement the day the Right Wing Death Squads (tm) march into his neighborhood. I doubt he'll even muster himself to do the same passive aggressive acts of random nastiness against Trump voters that he's encouraging his fellow checkmarks to do.

:powerlevel::autism:I'm still baffled with Bob's theory that thinkers are worthwhile and believers are awful. Is it wrong to think and believe in terrible things, as well as is it good to think and believe in good things? Like I can think that The Godfather is a great movie while believing in Christine Ford's accusations is wrong because there's no evidence, as well as me thinking that Bill Cosby is a terrible person and believing that helping people out is good?:powerlevel::autism:

I think Bob is fairly typical of faux intellectuals. He "really fucking loves science" without understanding it, and doesn't get that even geometry has postulates which seem obviously true, but which nevertheless cannot be proven.

Everything starts with belief, even if those are beliefs like "human life is intrinsically valuable."

Bad joke time.
The reason Bob can't get a date (or keep a girlfriend): He keeps telling women, "I have a hat on."

:lit:;)

At one time fedoras used to be stylish and classy. Now people without style or class think by wearing them they can make up for their lack of it.
Bob has a shitty taste in fashion with a Mario t-shirt tucked in while he wears a trench coat, all he needs is a fedora and he’ll look like the most stereotypical beta cuck male feminist imaginable.

Bob, you know who build things? Architects and engineers, both far more educated and worthwhile than you, and blue collar tradesmen, whom you believe to be obsolete.

Or does he think Sociologists and Gender Studies majors are the ones designing and building the movie theaters and McDonalds that constitute his only interactions with other humans in person?

But maybe Bob is, in a sense, right. He isn't a thinker. He believes lots of dumb shit. And he creates nothing of his own, he merely twists, perverts, or destroys the creations of others. Which is pretty close to Tolkien's conception of evil.

I love that Bob is once again playing the "I'm a badass who could steal guns from those phoney doomsday preppers" thing. Like, sure Bob. You're as much of a badass as that one guy who kicked the woman at an anti-abortion protest is a king fu master.

These people all want to pretend to be the badass heroes of their own personal action stories and it is always going to end badly fprfthem when they try to act out the delusions irl.
Bob couldn't steal a donut from Amberlynn!

Bob couldn't steal a tracing from Dobson!

Bob couldn't steal a wife from Anthony Burch!

...this is kinda fun.

Maybe it's the flu shot I just got, but I can't get through his word salad today. I got as far as "god-bothering troglodyte," had to double check it wasn't something I'd written to mock him, then gave up.

Fuckit, I'ma gonna have a Coke.

The psychology of Bob is one of the reasons why I keep coming back to this thread, and his obsession with pop culture is at the centre of it. The "Mario is God" comment in particular demonstrates how he has a fanatical devotion to it that easily matches or exceeds that of a religious zealot. Nature abhors a vacuum and in the absence of traditional religion he has devoted himself to a malformed fusion of Progressivist ideology and pop culture. It would not surprise me if he thought Mario was real in the most abstract sense as Greek pagans thought Zeus was real whenever they saw lightning. This line of thinking extends to other "icons" like Spider-Man, with Bob viewing the Sam Raimi version as a real entity on some visceral level instead of another iteration of a fictional character.

It's not just Bob, though. I have wasted time engaging people who venerate the Justice League animated series in a similar fashion to the point where they actively hate Hal Jordan and Barry Allen simply because they are not John Stewart or Wally West. Somehow they see one iteration as "real" instead of one of many throughout the decades. Then there are the millennials who make me ashamed to be a member of that generation because the fucking Harry Potter novels shaped their world view. Most of Bob's and their "thinking" goes to reinforcing their deepest-held beliefs rather than critical thinking or self-reflection.

It’s so hard to read Bob’s writing. Terrible writing and very awful grammar makes me cringe my spine out.

Bob's still hammering on that hate boner for Doug TenNapel huh? Makes sense, considering the creator of Earthworm Jim is everything Bob isn't. Creative, tolerant, comfortably religious, and still successful on his own merits, meanwhile, Bob can't even hold any of his own beliefs against any form of scrutiny. That's because TenNapel is a thinker, Bob, and you're not.
