I don't approve of him using Bartman has his twitter icon.

I'm dying to know more about this family. Why did he sit in his car and play vidya after work while waiting for his parents to go to bed? Was his folks that frustrated over his tism?
Making a wild guess, perhaps he might rage when he loses which causes his parents to tell him to be quiet. Another guess, they think he's wasting his time playing video games.

MovieBob's views on personal responsibility.

He seems to be a perfect exemplar of that. Why, yes, greasy obese dude who rants about shit on the Internet for little to no money, please tell us more about what's best for us!

Why is it that so many of these types are morbidly obese? Is it a result of the bad-diet-&-sedentary-lifestyle of the Internet/gamer world? Or are they just the fat kids who got picked on in high school, now grown up and sporting chips on their shoulders the size of serving-trays?

I honestly was a fan of his until he started putting stupid skits into the middle of his Game Overthinker series. I'm there for ranting, not for Bob talking to different personas and fat ninjas and...ugh.

I avoid his twitter at all cost, his smugness always rubbed me the wrong way on there.

nah man, not just that. He compared Mario to the JFK asssinsation and the console wars to 'Nam. His ED page even mentions this:
https://encyclopediadramatica.se/Moviebob#His_Book_-_Sad_and_fucking_insane

See, shit like that seems way more horrifying to me than his parroting of SJW rhetoric. That smacks more of kissing up to those cool progressive ladies with dyed hair and piercings. Comparing the reveal of Super Mario Brothers 3 to JFK's assassination and 9/11 reveals that he lacks proper perspective on... well, anything, really.

Just like a typical hetero cis white male to compare video games to national tragedies.

Are we SURE this is MovieBob and not some other fatass?

it's on bob's ED page, but I don't think its him.

I used to quite like this guy when all I knew about him was as Movie Bob on the Escapist but the more I learn the less I like about him. I figures he had SJW tendencies (or at least SJW sympathies) after he defended Anita Sarcessian back when she was still news. I think the whole website has gone downhill recently since they started dragging political stuff into their news. Also Greg Tito was part of that GamerGate conspiracy list of all the games journos taking commands from that Gawker shithead.

To be fair, The Escapist handled the events around GamerGate pretty well. One of the first things their chief editor did was to make a public statement that they take the complaints to heart and that they'll do their best to be more transparent in the future. And while words come cheap at least it's considerably more mature than the knee-jerk "Gamer culture needs to die!" rhetoric many other sites employed in response to criticism. I think they also hosted some interviews of some of the leading figures of GamerGate so at least they let them present their side of the story.

Yahtzee Croshaw who, generally speaking, seems to be a pretty cool guy is also mature enough not to pick a side on this and neither did Jim Sterling. The only one who really started to sperg out over it is, obviously "Movie"Bob Chipman and he got his deserved backlash.

You're right. The Escapist did handle is a lot better than most other websites. I think mainly they suffered from having too wide of an audience and trying to please too many people. Like any large organisation its impossible to expand without picking up a few toxic people (from all corners) along the way. They seem to be doing alright though.

his passive aggresive jabs towards Redlettermedia and it's Plinkett reviews are pretty amusing
I love the Plinkett reviews. When did MovieBob jab at them?
