I think his fanbase are mostly crazed Nintendo fanboys who buy into the conspiracy that Sony, Microsoft, and the AAA game publishers are out to get Nintendo. Though I mostly got that from the comments on the Game Overthinker blog before he was fired from The Escapist.

Standing up to Cameron is dumb because his Space Otherkin Dances with Wolves is a shit movie and it held off many great talents working on his dumb pet project, and was ultimately a dumb piece of shit that looked good but was dumb beyond belief.

Also, that quoted idiot's take makes me somehow almost like TLJ because anyone who takes Star Wars lore seriously does deserve to be mocked. Original trilogy is nice but it should have ended there. Prequels offer memorable, memetic scenes but lack in focus leading to jarring comedy relief and dull political scenes. Old expanded universe is a dumb inconsistent clusterfuck. Sequel trilogy and new EU is just another sanitized Disney plaything. Moviebob may solely stick to Star Wars because it's popular to like it in soy guzzler circles, but he's no better than those old canon autistics, worshipping trash.

The more Bob spergs about this movie, the more I start to think that this may be his Blarms (at least in regards to him choosing a piece of fictional media as a hill to die on).
