At risk of sounding like an SJW, if you're burnt out take some time off. The thread is meant to be entertaining, not something to stress you out and get you frothing at the mouth.
On a related note, comparing Bob to zoosadists is kind of dumb. It's the same logic as people saying Notch and Trump shouldn't use Twitter and should be doing important things. Zoosadists depress and horrify me, Bob is far more entertaining.
Bob is a film and game critic who's knowledge of film is questionable at best and he's absolutely clueless about games that aren't the first party Nintendo games he grew up with. Talking about those things is going to happen. When Bob says Skyrim and Dark Souls are basically the same, that's funny and should be talked about.
There's some entertainment to be had. He's not quite Spoony where his thread is a depressing wasteland where every update could possibly be the last.
We know Bob reads the thread occasionally which has likely curbed his worst tendencies, but the house boat tweet still shows he has some life left in him.
Believe it or not there was a time where the show was alright. Though the gamergate episode is far from his worst. I'm too lazy to get the links, but a few I recommend are-
- The Mass Effect 3 videos. 2 videos sperging about a game he's not played, but he's Bob so he knows better than the fans about what the ending should be.
- The Other M videos. 2 videos of him trying to defend Other M from sexism allegations. This was before Anita Sarkeesian's "everything is sexist" claims. This was "let's take this badass female lead and turn her into a useless waif with daddy issues who will burn herself to death if it means she might get some fleeting approval from a man" that rightly pissed off fans.
- An entire episode devoted to his Luigi/Daisy ship theory.
- The anti-thinker plot which starts around the mid 40s in which a dude bro version of Bob takes over the show.
- Not really a Bob video, but this video response to Bob making fun of Razorfist.
- The episode where Bob talks about a vision where he has to protect paradise from the dude-bro army led by Gears of War and Master Chief. We later learned from a friend of his that was a real dream Bob had that he considered a religious experience.
His two-part series about "fixing" the Sonic franchise is also pretty funny, if only for the butthurt sperging from the Sonic fanbase in the comments:
Really, Bob won't be entertaining again until either the Escapist fires Russ Pitts and he becomes collateral damage, or when the Mario movie Illumination is making starts being marketed.
People keep finding things to declare Bob's "blarms", but everything mentioned thus far will pale by comparison once a Mario movie targeted towards children that jettisons all the fanon Bob's created around the series is introduced to the canon. This is the man who thinks Super Mario Bros 3 is some serious commentary on the ongoing war between Koopas and the Mushroom kingdom.
