It happens rarely but sometimes Bob starts retweeting HAES articles. I kinda assume part of him wants to jump on the opression train but he also knows it wouldn't end well.

It’s not about who has the best ideas or is the most qualified, it’s who is the most “marginalized” and they should have all the power.

Two things that stood out to me while watching.
- He denies that he’s a liberal despite his constant shilling for the Democrats on Twitter and other liberal activists.
- He also think that predatory companies are bad, despite not seeing the irony in Disney.

This video sucked. I liked how Blobb tries to present himself as a champion of the working class but his Twitter is rife with him wishing them nothing but having them lose their jobs and lose their lives. What's with the blue pixelation on his face? Also whenever his accent really comes out, it sounds like he's slurring his words because he just suffered a major concussion. The only thing good about the video are the comments calling him a fat eugenicist.

Capeshit isn't about to die out any time soon because most people like feel good movies where the good guys win and everyone is happy. About the only thing that might happen would be the genre becoming less popular and being replaced by something else. I personally hope for a return of spy movies.
As for Blob's relationship with his dad, I would assume that his dad had some degree of work ethic and this guaranteed that his son would never like him. I imagine that many a morning in the Chipman home started with Bob's dad trying to wake him up for school, causing to Blob throw his toys around and scream that the world isn't fair and that he wanted to play Mario 3, while his parents got ready to go to work to afford the mountains of food he consumed. On the weekends he would sleep until midday at least, despite his father asking to him mow the lawn or other such chores, then he would sit around playing games and eating. Any attempt to change this routine would result in a tantrum and Blob locking himself in his room, where he would cry about his lack of friends and slowly grow to hate everything around him.
IIRC Bob's parents sent him to a shrink (paid for by their hard earned money) because he was such an anti-social a-hole. And that he openly resented them doing so, to the point that he bragged in his book that his parents ended up having to bribe him to attend the meetings and that said meetings, de-evolved into the cliché of the unwilling patient bullshitting the therapist with what they wanted to hear so that they would think they "fixed" the patient and let Bob stop going.
That probably is one of the big things that makes Bob hate his parents.
For what it's worth, the only reason why Obama came out for gay marriage was due to Biden forcing him at gunpoint to do so. Biden famously came out for gay marriage early in the first term when Obama was still in the anti-gay marriage camp and did so without even telling Obama ahead of time what he was going to do. This basically FORCE Obama to recant and come out in favor of gay marriage, which many in the media saw as Biden pulling a power play and putting Obama into a position where he had no choice but to bend to Biden's will on the matter.

I imagine Bob would be a much different person today if he actually had parents who disciplined the shit out of him as a kid.

I'd like the return of James Bond style spy movies, but I doubt it would happen any time soon because of the current political climate. Bond girls would be called sexist, government agencies would be call evil because Trump, and internet critics would tear the film to pieces for not being "realistic". And all of that is assuming anyone in charge doesn't have a bout of 'tism and have the bad guys wear MAGA hats or use antifa imagery for the heroes.
The return of the World War 2 adventure film might get away with it because the left can sperg about "punching nazis" as much as they want without it changing the film.
Bob is not worth raging at, but videos like that make it easy to understand why people do.
Disclaimer: I don't have an opinion on unions. They have pros and cons and I'm sure people more informed and invested than me have better opinions on the matter.
But Bob is either a lying sack of shit or an idiot mouthing off about a subject he knows nothing about.
First, Activision. Kiwis in other threads pointed out in other threads that there is a different between revenue (money earned before expenses) and profit (money earned after expenses). Many of the articles by Jim Sterling and friends are reading articles about publishers making record amount of revenue and presenting them as "EA is making record profits!" "Activision made a ton of money but is laying people off!". Even if Activision made profit, a company doesn't stay profitable by holding on to money sinks. Not only that, but Activision is being sued for fraud and cut as much dead weight as they could before the auditing started.
But fuck it. There's more zeroes in those bank accounts than at a Moviebob fan convention so they must be evil.
Second, unions. I don't mean to beat a dead horse that was never alive to begin with but even pro-union people should tell Bob to fuck off with this shit. By the end of GamerGate the game journalism clique lost their influence and gatekeeping ability. Since then Zoe Quinn, Jim Sterling, and others desperately want to start a game dev union with themselves as the leaders. It doesn't take a conspiracy theorist to conclude that this is their attempt to control the games industry again. You have to be in the union to work in the industry, and Quinn and co. will only allow you to be in the union if you do as they say. The "union dues" they collect while sitting around on Twitter all day is a nice bonus as well.
The sad part is that I doubt Bob is privy to this scheme. I doubt he's been offered any kind of power should this plan get off the ground. I'm guessing he's doing this video because the people he follows on Twitter are talking about it. If he is part of this scheme, I can imagine him being kicked to the curb as soon as he served his purpose.

It's an interesting point. We know from leaked chatlogs and a few incidents that have slopped over into the public view that the anti-GG crowd has no use for Brianna Wu (because she's a conniving, unprincipled grifter with no measurable skills beyond self-promotion and a Svengali-esque hold over a screaming Chinaman) ... has there ever been a hint what they think of Bob? He doesn't seem to be a con artist like Brianna Wu, but he's just so unpleasant and strident, even beyond what's normal for that crowd. I imagine he's such a nonentity that they likely don't pay him much mind (outside of Russ Pitts's sterling judgment), but I'd be curious to see behind the curtain.
