I have no idea what he's on about here but If he's refering to pewediepie he's accent is very clearly Swedish and very obviously Scandinavian so it says more about Bobs limited experiance/interest in the rest of the word that he can't place it. I'd be forgivable if he mistook him for Norweigian but it's very odd he can't hear the distinction in his pronounciation,
I wonder if he'd be able to distinguish between a Russian and German if on the spot?

Since I'm posting, I might as well say that if a reboot of Scream wouldn't work in the modern day, how about not remaking Scream? Even as a "thought exercise" it's pointless as Bob doesn't think or exercise.

But ok, I'll bite. Let's say you have to do a 21st reboot of Scream. First idea I've just pulled out of my arse. Instead of horror movie geeks who know all the cliches, how about it be internet creepy pasta geeks who know all the cliches but are stalked by a Lovecraftian or SCP esc super natural entity. Second idea I've just pulled out of my arse. Have a bunch of SCP nerds get put into a SCP class D program. It turns out that it was all real and set up by the government to keep a level of plausible deniability should any secrets leak out.

Not that it matters. There already is a 21st century version of Scream. It's called Cabin in the Woods. The whole thing is a parody of the horror cliches while also playing them straight.
