If the Electoral College had somehow fucked over Trump and gotten Hillary elected despite Trump losing the popular vote, Bob would be all for the Electoral College. 'In the long run' is the key phrase here, Bob can't understand how it benefits him in the immediate and since he perceives that the EC dicked him over he hates it.
This country would be fucked if we allowed California to dictate all laws. I know in some situations, due to sheer size and buying power, California has a country wide impact (school books and car emission standards) but Texas cancels it out at least on school books.
California is god awful which is why people are fleeing the state. Taxes there are out of control and people can’t afford to buy houses or live there unless you have a 6 figure household income.

This isn't true of everyone who doesn't have children, God knows, but when you stack it up with all of Bob's other behaviors and pathologies, it seems clear it's another indicator of his arrested adolescence.
