How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

Leave us not forget that there's quite a bit of speculation that Bob is a booze hound, and that's a habit that swallows money like a hole in the earth.
I doubt it's anything as interesting or cool as a drinking problem, I'm guessing it's all old debt, a whole bunch of impulse spending on little shit that adds up, and the fact Bob is an entitled man child who can't tell the difference between not being able to buy whatever he wants when he wants and actually being poor.

It wouldn't shock me to learn that he has DSP-style tax problems. Self-employed with multiple revenue streams, does freelance work on the side, and lives in MA? If he doesn't have his accountant on speed-dial he is legitimately exceptional. It would also explain why he was flush at Christmas but not so much now- tax season happened in the meantime.
Funnily enough, if he moved to a red state to live alongside the Mayonnaise Ghouls, he probably wouldn't have the kind of money problems that he's (supposedly) having.

Didn't he say he was seeing a therapist for anger issues brought on by his Twitter habit/Trump Derangement Syndrome? I doubt that is cheap. Same could be said for his never ending list of health problems.

Edit:

I remember Bob advocating for exactly that in one of his old videos. He ranted about how a tech start up could be literally anywhere, so only the obsolete would flock to expensive urban centers. I guess that advice is only for people who aren't Bob.

Pressing X. Unless he brought his whole family with him (IOW have them set up shop in flyover America and continue sponging off them as now) he'd just be trading one set of problems for another: needing to pay for rent and interact with people outside his comfort zone. For a guy who gave himself the beetus by "eating his feelings" as a response to GooberGrape, I'd predict that his (currently poorly incentivized) spending habits would not improve enough to stop him from going home or trying to survive on his fat reserves in six months or less.

tl;dr: Bob might be able to save money by moving to the midwest or a similar low-cost region, but doing so would require him to exercise a level of self-discipline that he's never exhibited.

It takes a lot of food to maintain that girth. I know Boston has a high cost of living but his basement hole can’t be that expensive and he clearly doesn’t buy nice clothes or travel.
Bobby doesn't buy nice clothes but he buys a lot of terrible clothes that no adult would want to wear, in a similar manner to Phil (ADF) and his mall-ninja bullshit.
Lolcows have a predictable pattern of spending money.

What kind of shirt is he wearing this time?

And Chris talked about a SUPER PROBLEMATIC movie in that Blockbuster event. In Bobby's presence.

Chip is the older brother, no? Why does Bob look 10 years older and haunted? Maybe something to do with living in a constant state of rage because people with slightly different ideas exist

"I can afford Christmas presents" isn't much to brag about, and it being unusual enough to feel the need to brag about it kind of suggests the opposite of the impression he's trying to give about his financial situation. Did he say what he bought them and were these some ridiculously expensive gifts?

It's possible to get nice gifts for your family in the ten dollar range. Just go to sales, look around for store closings and clip coupons. And it helps to know what your family members might like so you can be on the hunt for something specific, but you'll have to :

A. Leave the house on a regular basis
B. Observe and think about someone besides yourself for a decent amount of time.

Can Bob even do these things?

Aw no. I love flower prints. It's my favorite clothing pattern. I wear them as often as I can. And now Bob is going to ruin them for me by dressing like the showroom floor of a furniture warehouse store. Why can't he just wear Hawaiian shirts with Japanese Dragons and Kanji that says "King Chicken Fucker" like all of the other neckbeards?

Chris seemed to also live a good life without so much drama.
FTFY. Chris HAS a life: a wife, a kid, a job, and a house. He goes outside. He spends time with his family. When he goes to his sister's wedding in Cancun, he actually participates in and enjoys the event as opposed to his sad sack of a brother, who's in the background, hunched over his phone, tweeting into the void.

I'd like to know why he hates yang so much. I think it may be racism.

As bob always paints middle america as a hotbed of drug deaths, I decided to look up some actual statistics. Can you guess where the superior state of Ma lands?

I was wondering where my kitchen tablecloth ran off to. Glad to see it's still getting covered in grease anyway.

This is a good joke. I replied with almost the exact same joke after reading it, and thought it was my own after saying it.

It's like how calculus was discovered independently by two scientists in different sides of the continent. If it's a good enough answer, multiple people will discover it on their own.

Well then, let's try a different approach.

"It's kind of heartwarming to see Bob pay tribute to his grandma by cosplaying as her sofa."

Well I have a theory (though I'm mostly just bullshiting here so take it with a massive pile of salt). Part of it is just Bob being the neo-liberal house-nigger that we all know and love, but part of it is something much more interesting. It wouldn't surprise me if Bob believed that if Yang got his way and everyone in America got $12,000 worth of neetbux a year then there would be an influx of people coming into Bob's space (sperging about pop culture for a living). At that point the market for Bob's videos becomes even more over-saturated and he risks becoming the thing that he hates: an obsolete mayonnaise ghoul fighting for his jerb.

I think it's a lot more simple than that. Bob simply doesn't like how Yang is talking about automation and the effect it's having. This is a guy who cheers it on because he hates blue collar workers and wants them to lose their jobs.

You have to remember that Bob is an absolute extremist when it comes to technological and scientific advancement. If something can be done it HAS to be done. Even if there is consequences.

Do we actually know what Chris does for a living?
