Tons of people die to get where The Federation reaches and honestly as an adult I find The Federation terrifying. You rarely hear of dissent and when you do it is always swiftly struck down. That sounds like a bad place to have ideas...so Blob would be plenty happy.

My point is mainly that Blob speaks of his ideal future as though it is just out of reach and being kept from him(kind of scary btw as this is how dangerous people think) when the reality it is so far out of reach that like his penis Blob will never see it or be able to touch it. Most of us will not(reach that future not Blob's penis that is a lost cause) unless some key developments happen soon which they may but even then it is unlikely. I'll sperg on those possible developments another time if it comes up(again not Blob's penis that's dead).



Blob doesn't care about Mario's profession only that he can jump and is morbidly obese. Blob aspires to be able to escape Earth's gravity if only for a split second before he decimates the cartilage in his knees.



Oh look Blob doesn't understand eugenics either. Treating people with disabilities fairly is good. Treating people with disabilities as if they wouldn't be better off if they weren't disabled is absurd.

Treating someone in utero for potential deafness isn't remotely the same as changing someone's skin color unless you know like Blob you see being anything but white as a disability and let's face it under that lard is a deeply racist man.

The future shown in Star Trek is very.....zeerust, is that the word I'm looking for? It's very dated as a future designed by some guy from over a half century ago. I'm not sure if it's it precisely that pops in his head with the "Superior Future" but it shares that quality even ignoring the fantastical elements in both. Pretty sure the topic came up in the thread before.

If anything Roddenberry's vision of the future can be described as highly anachronistic.
I suppose Zeerust would describe Firefly, which is actually a much more "realistic" depiction of space travel. (No FTL travel, so no traveling outside of the system, so no non-human aliens, everything sucks, everyone is broke, "antiquated" notions like prostitution and gambling run wild, and a quasi-fascistic union of nations are just fucking with genetics like wannabe gods behind the scenes.)
I'm sure Bob liking both shows despite having mutually exclusive visions of the future causes a bit of cognitive dissonance in that empty skull.

Was just listening to Jonah Goldberg's latest podcast and he revealed something very, very interesting.

When you have a blue checkmark, you get the option to see retweets, mentions, replies, etc from ONLY other blue checkmarks. (He did something to lose his checkmark recently.)

Starts to explain a lot about Bob, doesn't it?

It's very interesting, and very revealing of the way Twitter divides itself into castes, but Bob regularly interacts with non-checkmarks. In fact it seems surprisingly easy to bait him (although maybe he's only picking up on people who have interacted with other bluechecks, so I dunno).

True, they both need to give up on hair. In chip's defense, his profession isn't really known for focusing on details that don't serve an immediate function, like fashion, and chip has already pair bonded and produced offspring

Aesthetics aside, Chip always looks like a normal human being in these pictures, while Bob always looks like a dead-eyed psychopath.
