Probably. Authoritarians lack critical thinking ability and they get upset when they see that in other people too. It's why they get so butthurt about people who point out plot holes in movies and prefer to yammer on incessantly about "theme" instead. On some level they realize that the people who point out the flaws in their entertainment that they didn't even see are the same people who point out the flaws in their precious political views that they don't even see. But because theme is political, rather than either being logical or not (which they are not cognitively equipped to decide), they have a prefab set of criteria for judging it and arriving at the 'correct' answer so they're pretty comfortable with it. And if your lack of critical thinking means that you can't even point out where other people are wrong very well, how will you ever catch yourself being wrong? Hypocrisy from authoritarians is inevitable. Seeing other people engage in genuine moral self-questioning probably reminds them that they never do that and makes them feel inadequate (which they are). Authoritarians are really the worst group of people you'll find in society and not in a jail or mental institution.

If he decides to actually do this, he'll actually be THE most mentally challenged Chipman, given that the only reason Bobby can afford giving his bro's basement rent is because he's probably asking for less than what the property is worth since the Chimpman family are a clan of enablers.

This is going off topic but since he mentioned Chappelle's Show did anyone else think Dave's rationale for quitting because "Whitey was liking my jokes" was just a total cop out for the truth that Season 3 of Chappelle's Show was just turning out to be straight up bad?

I watched a few episodes of Chappelle's Show and for the most part it aged really well, the Rick James's skit is still one of the funniest pieces of sketch comedy. But if you watch the scraps of Season 3 with Charlie Murphy hosting the skits were quite mediocre. I think the only sketch from that which was kinda funny was the Tupac rap song seemingly referencing the 2000s which pretty much went nowhere.

I think Chappelle is a bit of a perfectionist and just didn't want Chappelle's Show being remembered as another lame Comedy Central original. If Dave really didn't want the White people to enjoy his humor he wouldn't have gone on SNL (the whitest yuppie show ever) years later where they straight up paid tribute to the best of Chappelle's Show. Hell he wouldn't do specials on Netflix either.
