I'm not so sure. While he has enough self awareness to know he's not a brain surgeon or a robotics scientist, he still fancies himself as one of the cultural and intellectual elite, albeit one with lowbrow tastes like monster movies and Nintendo games.

The exception to this is when he paints himself as one of the real working class.

All the MCU movies - even the Hulk movie which has a completely different actor - are considered canon. The only things that aren’t canon anymore are Agents of Shield and the Netflix shows.
