Robert: "White working class guys' loss of status is perceived and not real and they're going full Nazi over nothing! Orange man brainwashed them!"
Also Robert: "The industrial sector and rural areas are dying wastelands and it's impossible for anyone conservative to make a career in art, literature, or academia, and that's a good thing! LoL."

As usual, Robert tries to have his cake and eat it too in his arguments (and with actual cake), because he can't just admit what he wants. Only absolute retards are fooled.

Next time you look at the picture of Trenchcoat Bob, imagine this playing on a loop in your mind.

Theme of Diabeeto.

So far Robert is the only person that I've seen, to have said something nice about "New New Warriors". Can't say that's surprising considering that Robert is so desperate to be down with the woke kids, seemingly just as much as Dobson does.
They are objectively bad, which is the worst part. Poorly designed, named, and shitty origin story. I get he is trying to be an ally or something, but trash is trash. He is going so far past woke that he is just retarded now.

It's one thing to be woke, it's another thing to be so woke, you're blinded to objective shit things that not even your other woke "peers" like it.

Every cartoon of TMNT takes place in its own universe, so everyone has different origin stories, looks different, shit like that. It's the reason why I simply shrugged when the new cartoon had April being black (though she was black originally).

They might have different origins... but they don't waste time telling stories when they aren't mutants either, which is Robert's pitch.

The April being black on that show was more funny because of the trend of making originally ginger character black, other than that, only dildos get really upset about this stuff, who gives a shit.

And the show is kinda shit as well, not a turtles fan, but this new one is just a Teen Titans Go wannabe... with the exception of some very, VERY expensive and articulated fight scenes, ther sort of stuff Mad House and Studio trigger would blow up their budgets on. this is some of the stuff you don't see on western cartoons, and looks pretty good...

Too bad that, as much as I appreciate the craft, the novelty wears down fast, now I just check the actions scenes and the storyboards animatics when they post it.

Ironheart instead of Iron Man?

Robert is a 100% convinced that if the new "SJW" characters (like Kamala Kahn and Riri Williams) were introduced to the public outside the comics bubble, they would be hits, so you better believe that he thinks Ironheart shoudl take Ironman's place...

And I kinda agree with Robert on this one, people dunk on "SJW characters" because they can't sell comics for shit, but with competent writers and charismatic lead actors, I don't see why the public in general would reject the usual marvel pastiche.

It's true that the comics were shit... but at the same time, it is a dying media, and it doesn't help that Marvel editorial lost it's spine for years and still can't find it. So, it isn't that far fetched to think that if given a propper writer and setting, these characters can get tracking with audience....

However there is always going to be a problem with giving a popular identity and shoving to another character due the color of his/her skin... like it or not, they are playing second fiddle to a already popular and established character, a version from the original... and i have yet to see it work in such a large scale.

Take the Spiderverse movie. Good writers worked on that movie (The Phil Lord crew, the guys who did the Lego Movie), the lead had charisma, it's easy to like and root for Miles.... but as much as we like Miles, it was Peter Parker the most engaging and intertesting character in the movie, by a large margin, and trust me, this ain't the fanboy in me talking.

That is why I think that, while I don't have much of a bellyache to the diversity hire version of classical characters, I don't think they have much legs to go on their own either. Take the new She-ra on netflix, it seems the show is quite popular with kids... but not enough to make mattel produce toys... which is just mindblowing if we thing about it.

And that is the true tradgedy of the social political invested cartoons and comics, even if praised and with some loyal following, for the public at large, the memory hole is their only destiny.. because at best, they are just a version of something people liked a lot.

Honestly, hideous as it is, this screenshot is the happiest Bob I've ever seen.

Damn it’s something else seeing bob unironically happy, even if his misery is basically all self-inflicted.
I know we’re all mayonnaise chuds who don’t belong in his superior futchah but even my cold dead kiwi heart is moved by that glimmer of hope in our dear friend Film Robert’s eye.
He is the spiteful, lazy, misanthropic Gollum to our Frodo, and our amusement is forever tainted by the creeping suspicion that we too could become another movieblob.

Perhaps if there is hope for him, there is hope for us all.

Geez that lighting really shows how misshapen his forehead is. Did he get dropped a dozen times as a baby, like Sloth from the Goonies? It'd explain a lot.

Seeing Robert genuinely happy to video chat with his brother's kids makes me think he probably would've been better off if he'd been born a boomer and grown to adulthood and old age in a pre-internet world. He'd be poorer sure. He'd probably have to work at one of those dreaded manual labor jobs he despises so much, like a plumber or gas station attendant. But he'd be much more mentally healthy without his internet addiction feeding his delusional megalomania and antisocial tendencies. He could be the simple man with simple pleasures that's clearly all he's ever been suited for. Doing a bit of manual labor would make him healthier too. He's the political equivalent of the 4chan green text about toaster fuckers.

This is who is calling you a mayonnaise ghoul online
That video was made in 2008. The neckbeard with a fedora and trench coat wasn't a stereotype back then. People like Bob are the reason that stereotype exist. He has even lamented that he can't wear his hats anymore because of it.

The only exception I can think of is Nick Fury, but no one knew who he was before the Marvel movies where he was played by Samuel Jackson.

So wait, is he not living in his brother's basement or is he just secluding himself in there?
if he ever did live in his bro's house, it was many years ago. current intel places him in a house in Revere (not lynn) that he rents the basement of, which may or may not belong to an aunt. afaik the upstairs neighbors are not relatives (bob's recently tweeted he's not living with family) and are complete butthole strangers.

As much as I enjoy the image of a normal rat using kung-fu solely because he saw someone doing the moves and copied them, Splinter himself pre-mutation doesn't have enough going to carry a movie or post-mutation for that matter. This is a terrible idea, Bob. It would be like having a movie about the turtles while they're still in the petshop. A Yamato Yoshi (Splinter's master) movie could work though since you could delve into the relationship he has with Shredder and how the Foot clan rose to power with Splinter doing his nonsense in the background. But I doubt any big movie audience would want to see anything pre-mutation in the franchise. A shame though, since it would be a classic tale of good friends who become mortal enemies over their ideals.

The only exception I can think of is Nick Fury, but no one knew who he was before the Marvel movies where he was played by Samuel Jackson.
Yeah, but they set it up prior with the Ultimate Universe so comic fans would be more accepting of the idea. Samuel let them continue to use his face in the comics and not get sued to hell with the agreement that he would get to play Nick in the movies. Not sure how that would have played out otherwise, but it worked out great for all parties involved all things considered.

Bruh how young are you that you think the Dick Tracey look wasn't already associated with dorks like Bob in the late 2000's? This shit started in the 90's like most everything else in internet culture. I blame trenchcoats being commercially available again in American malls because of goth/industrial kids.
Hell that time was the peak fedora tipping age on YouTube, half of the website was creationism vs. evolution flamewars.
