I remember LordKat/Jason Pullara on one of his podcast episodes suggesting that part of the reason for Bob’s crazy Twitter rants is that he’s an alcoholic. Now, I think that he wasn’t far off, because when you look at a lot of his tweets, they seem like the ramblings of a drunk whose inhibition is completely gone.

I don't see how much more of a reality shattering moment Bob could have then with what just occurred. He had a black activist directly tell him that he isn't the ally that he thinks he is, and that he's actually a moron whose ideas are bad and make no sense.

Just because they don't talk about Antifa in the MCU doesn't mean they don't exist. I have no complain about escapism per se; indeed I think it is probably essential for life. Being able to escape from the chaos of the world, especially the political world, is a blessing, and when respite is on offer, you should take it. As Chris Chipman observes, there had been protests where they live (North of Boston), but the protesters have been extremely well-behaved. What Chris does not observe -- surprising as he is very attuned to "privilege" -- is that the protests were peaceful because the town they live is so white that it gives you snowblind! Is it a bad thing, that Chris and Bob don't experience the burning and sacking at their doorsteps? Of course not! While trying not to power level too much, I'll say that where I live protests have consisted of a few people standing on a street corner holding "Black Lives Matter" signs and not so much as a single broken window. Of course we also haven't had any instances of a cop killing a black person under extremely questionable circumstances. I can't remember a single time that's happened here, nor do I think there's a single time in our history we've had riots. It's not that we have no black people or other groups of non-white people either. It's just that when they come here there's the expectation that they're going to assimilate into the community and not form some kind of permanent separate disgruntled underclass.

That's the reality of wasteland ghoul land Robert hates so much. Compare that to "brainland" right now. Clearly the superior way of living.

And the way so many people on this forum are getting pissed about what's happening in these overwhelmingly blue, overwhelmingly urban areas shows we care a whole hell of a lot more about them than Robert cares about everywhere else.
