Depression is the one condition that I'd believe any lolcow has without questioning the claim. Let's face it, their lives suck. And yes, it's their own fault, but a bullet to the foot still hurts even if you were the one who fired it.
Bob, like most cows, doesn't have depression, but depressive symptoms. This is essentially depression caused by many other mental illnesses (such as autism, bipolar disorder, mental retardation etc.). A clearer example is that alcoholism is known as alcohol dependency in its symptomatic form (when there is a "higher" mental disorder causing alcoholism) and alcoholism when it is the disorder on its own.

I suspect he came across some of these obscure phrases in school and whatnot, and thought, "Ooh, that's good. I'm gonna use that to prove my intelligencyness!" But because he works them into his writing in a way that sounds really unnatural, he just comes across as an insufferable tryhard. Even after his explanation, "Pelucadaran heart" still doesn't really mean anything. Your heart has the characteristics of a civilization buried inside the Earth? Actually that might be a good metaphor, considering all the fat it's buried under.

Gun movies and shows cause mass shootings, but don't you dare suggest this recent wave riots was caused by Joker! Because gun movies are bad and mass shootings are bad. Joker is bad too, but left wing riots are good.
