What gets me is the lack of shame. If you’re a father of two, including a child with special needs, you do what it takes to provide for them. Somehow, Chris thinks what you do is beg for money on the internet, despite the fact that he could — by his own admission — take on lucrative consulting gigs. But Chris doesn’t feel like working so he’s just going to keep up the internet beggar act.
Imagine how ashamed his children will be once they’re old enough to realize their father used them as props in his bid to avoid work. And imagine the devastation of realizing your dad didn’t love you enough to work in order to provide you with necessary medications, food, and other components of financial stability. When that realization hits them, I hope someone is around to point out that their father shirking work in order to e-beg is not a reflection on them, but on their father’s status as a repugnant human.
Real men work. Chipmans beg — and don’t even have enough decency to be ashamed of themselves. And these people look down on “obsoletes” who work 40+ hours a week like responsible adults. There’s some irony in the Chipmans banging on about others’ supposed obsolescence when they are trying to get donations to support their “work” sperging out about fucking Blockbuster and Mario.
