AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAHAHAHAHAHAH

Okay Bob. Why don't you tell me how modern, secular religion, with all of its -isms and -phobias, isn't all about browbeating and shaming undesirables into doing whatever the media-priests and science-priests tell them to.

Eh, it actually makes sense if you know nerd shit. "Grok" is a word from Stranger in a Strange Land, that literally means a sort of ritual cannibalism but more broadly means to absorb the essence of something. It found its way into geek lingo for decades, although you don't hear it much these days. Saying "I grok you" as a way of saying "I really get and understand you" was once relatively common in those circles.

The problem is that he spells it with an apostrophe, because this alleged writer does not fucking know punctuation.
That's what I'm saying, man. 60 year old nerd words are one thing, but his continual inability to use punctuation properly, while touting his evolved enlightenment, never fails to confound.

So you grok now?

Sorry.

For non-American frens, Social Security was set up as a safety net after the great depression by FDR's administration to be able to take care of the elderly. Problem number one with it is that the longer it goes on, the more unsustainable it becomes. You have more people drawing from it than you have people putting in to it. I personally will never get the same value from it that someone who retires 10 years before me does. I have no choice in whether or not I can pay into it. It is a money pit and I fully support it's death.

The vid is a minute and sixteen seconds of a middle aged woman saying some variation of "Yo! I'ma gonna home cook you a food!"...and that's it. At the very end, of the vid she looks into the camera kinda sultry like and says "Wanna learn how to cut a pineapple?" whilst a sexy sax serenades us. I really wanna stress this is a collection of clips of a middle aged woman's introduction to other cooking videos and someone through this all together so it could be fapped to. The alternative is that there are no actual cooking videos and this is an on purpose fetish video. I'll let you, the audience, decide.

Turns out Bob had a lot more to say about this.

Bob's superior view of sin is far more great and righteous than your puny obsolete God's could ever be, mongol. It also doesn't exist I guess?

On a side note, I wanna say I find it funny that he retweeted his hot take from his dead alt personal account by his real verified business account thus rendering the separation of the two completely moot.

The basic structural problem with Social Security is that of a Ponzi scheme: the population needs to keep increasing in order to maintain the same payer:payee ratio. As it is in America, like much of the west, the population is stagnating/declining since the sexual revolution meaning that demography is flat or an inverted triangle- you're getting to the point where you have more people drawing benefits than paying into them, leading to a pension crisis similar to what you see in places like Illinois. It's how Boomers have managed to stay politically powerful well beyond what would have been their sell-by date.

The direct connection to payroll taxes is largely fictional anyways because money is fungible and government accounting makes Hollywood look honest.

The second part of this word vomit is actually interesting, in the sense of "hey, Bob is once again within spitting distance of self-awareness but can never clinch the deal." His premise is that Del Toro is an auteur with that (in)famous artistic temperament and likes to do things his way, and has the clout to make studios play ball. Bob realizes that this is a bad fit for the MCU because it means that he'll try to create art (for lack of a better word) rather than just play in the tiny sandbox that the Mouse provides, with the toys that they give him.

...IOW, he'll make something other than the assembly-line corporate slop that CONSOOMers like Bob lap up on the reg and, unlike less-established directors, will be able to make Disney do things his way or lose face by firing him.

I see it differently. This strikes me more as being in line with Bob's slobbering fetishization of the MCU as the New Gospel of the 21st Century, in that he actually believes any MCU director demonstrates "auteur level" skill or talent. I guess Waititi or Gunn comes closest, but Waititi personally leaves me cold and Gunn is more quirky than genius. None of these movies are better than entertaining. They do not rise to the level of high art, and they certainly don't reflect the work of directors who do.

And a reminder, his pudgy judgement will be *terrible*!

Evangelical support for Trump is very simple, Bob. They've noticed unhinged lunatics like yourself saying things like "I WANT THEM TO PAY A TERRIBLE PRICE, AND I WANT TO COLLECT!!!!" and they have wisely decided not to vote for that.

David Lynch made PBR hip to the Millennial moviedorks like Bob Chipman. I remember PBR was already widely known as a "Hipster Beer" by the 2000s because it's a cheap macro beer like Budweiser but doesn't feature an aggressive marketing campaign.

I can just imagine Bob sipping PBR at the Alamo Drafthouse with Devin Faraci. Semi-Functional Alcoholism like Bob's is a funny thing because people don't want to admit that they are in fact alcoholics. I think most drinkers even casual ones do this to an extent, I know I could substitute my fancy Bourbons & European produced Vodka with stuff that costs a fraction of the price. But I don't because it tastes slightly better to my palette (which might be psychological) and I feel upper class by pouring from a bottle of Buffalo Trace than I do from drinking Wild Turkey 101 (both good whiskeys fyi).

But anyway Bob drinks PBR because that's what people in his clique drink. It's a refreshing tasteless beer. In a threeway between its closest Macro cousins Corona and Bud Light the PBR is the one you're most likely to drink while wearing a Fedora.

Despite Bob holding him up to be a paragon of sophistication, his food and drink choices, more specifically the food and drink he feels the need to share on social media, reveal how much of a white trash mayo ghoul he truly is.

Besides the obvious like the Mt Dew or Hot Sauce chicken, all of the drinks he shares are bottom of the barrel beer and liquor. No almost 40 year old man should be posting himself drinking a midori sour. Bob either has a completely dead palate or a completely undiscerning one.

I don't see that our premises contradict each other. I agree with you that Gunn and Waititi aren't "auteurs" in the way del Toro is (or that Bob wants them to be) but remember that Bob has terrible judgement and legitimately cannot tell the difference between consoomer slop and art- hell, if the question was put to him, he'd probably say that Overwatch was more artistically worthy than Pathologic because it has rug-munchers in it.

Bob's point about del Toro is roughly that he would do things his way and Disney couldn't simply crack the whip on him the way they can on lesser names. This is something we've seen repeatedly in the Mouse's disastrous ownership of Star Wars, where they'll bring in directors with a particular skillset, then fire or sideline them when they don't simply follow whatever bullet points their focus group shat out. The end product is something off of an increasingly creaky assembly line, with only minor quirks and details betraying what little creative input the director actually had.

Someone tells these people that the shittiest jokes are often the funniest.

Blob has hated the Raimi films for ages. He even went on a screed about how Toby McGuire should only be brought back as a Spider-Man Clone so that Miles Morales could beat the shit out of him/cement Miles as THE MCU version of Spider-Man.

Evangelical support for Trump is very simple, Bob. They've noticed unhinged lunatics like yourself saying things like "I WANT THEM TO PAY A TERRIBLE PRICE, AND I WANT TO COLLECT!!!!" and they have wisely decided not to vote for that.

It's more "we have no place to go" with the Evangelicals and Trump, along with the Evangelicals being forced to STFU at long last, because of the record number of Federal Judges Trump is putting in place and that Trump's election effectively cockblocked the liberal wet dream of a liberal majority on the Supreme Court that would rubber stamp the most lunatic left notions the left can come up with, with ZERO oversight and with the Democrats bypassing the will of the people and rule of law, as nowadays Congress is so fucking dysfunctional that the only way to get a law passed is literally through Supreme Court decree penned by a majority on the court.

One of the greatest political tricks Trump has pulled, is breaking the Evangelicals death grip on the GOP. Trump has proven that you can tell the Evangelicals/Fundie Christians to STFU and go to the back of the bus in order to bring in jaded liberals and moderates/minorities/and liberals who have aged out of the mindset and now are conservative, and still get your agenda passed. And the Evangelicals basically ending up like Progressives/minorities in the DNC where they just have to take it on the chin because they "don't have anywhere else to go".

I think this is largely correct, but not giving Trump quite enough credit for threading the needle the way he has. He realized that Evangelicals are very easy to please as long as you engage in enough pro forma public piety and oppose abortion, and went ahead and did just that. Not getting caught up on the finer points of doctine is a plus, since "Evangelicals" aren't monolithic and constantly get into autistic slap-fights over theology when there's no one else to argue with. It's not just about them having nowhere else to go, it's about meeting the bare minimum of their requirements while not going off into the weeds of young earth creationism and other crazy stuff that alienates the center.

Honestly I think it's less that Trump is friendly to evangelicals and more that the Democrats are openly hostile. Trump doesn't constantly talk shit about "guns and religion", which means he sort of wins by default.

For those not in the know, Jenny Nicholson is a geek girl youtuber/Disney CONSOOMER who does movie reviews, commentary on weird books, and jills herself at the mere mention of amusement parks. It only makes sense that Jenny would find it weird that someone would enjoy the aspects of Disney World that don't require you to physically go and spend real money on. Though I have to admit, the tin foil in me has got me thinking that Jenny's being a little catty towards Benji's sister, Abby. Maybe there's some other reason Jenny's mocking Abby? I have a hypothesis but I'll let you, the audience, decide.
Dis Jenny

Dis Abby

Besides Jew face there's one minor difference that you may have missed. I'll give you a hint! Here's them both in a black top.
1597005763392.png

oops, sorry, here's a better picture of Jenny.
1597004044925.png

1597003983697.png
Another difference between the two is that Abby is a professional singer and, by her account, is happily married. Jenny once rid in a car for over an hour to meet someone who sold her a giant porg, cried about it, and can never be in a real relationship because she'll loose her patreon bucks faster than Bob AND Pokimane combined.
While it seems that Bob would pity someone who has never given the Mouse money for the privilege of entering it's phony paradise, we of course know it's more of Bob gladly shitting on a woman who's politics differ from his and that she's a Jew. That's the real take away from this. Bob hates Jewish women.
