I have friends that are big DBZ fans and from what I've picked up by osmosis, Bob is as accurate on it as he is on LotR.

But then again, Bob probably considers Dragonball Z AMVs set to Linkin Park to be highly emotional art. Or whatever the current year equivalent of Linkin Park is. 100 gecs or something, which I'm sure Bob pretends to love for obvious reasons.

I highly doubt bob really like DBZ or has even watched it to be honest, but DBZ is one of the massive cultural things that everyone is slightly aware of and tons of people like. And since Bob is the fakest of fake geek girls he has to ramble off some big brain take on it, after he skims the wiki obviously.

Nobody (atleast in Poland) ever gave a fuck about DBZs plot. It was all about turning your hair gold, ridiculous mach 7 punch and kick exchange while flying and stupid (and awesome looking) beam struggles.
The only time I ever heard any takes on parenting in DBZ was in last 5 or 6 years from TFS as snarky joke.

Jesus H Christ this has been a day from Bob.

The Genghis Khan thing has long been a deal. Historians have often used it as a "this is how history works. One murders a landmass while making said murder more effective across the continent." Its like the Mussolini thing with the trains. Albeit his trains were very often not on time. Its up to the reader and the teller to make of it what they will, but facts are facts.

As for DBZ, its not a terrible read. Although it is mostly based off the anime. None of the Daddies show up in the Manga. I just read it actually. I guess minus Goku and Piccolo and Vegeta. And while it totally is Trunks's whole thing. Never having met his Dad until now when he is still a psycho. And Piccolo has it for that one arc. It isnt really as much of a thing as the memes remember it.

However, because Bob is such a pop culture wunderkind. He of course is aware that most boomers in England and Japan have some real daddy issues and is easily one of the easiest threads to pick up on. Its why a lot of anime does in fact have some Daddy angst. Because even if it wasn't their actual fathers, then it is kind of seen through their loss of National Identity and overtaking by America in some weird indistinct ways that left them feeling "fatherless". Of course Bob caught this because he is such an expert on pop culture and all art is political Bob.

Oh he didn't? Weird.

It's not even based on the anime as much as the abridged series by Team Four Star. They really played up the "Goku is a bad dad, Piccolo is better" angle. In the actual series it's far more restrained and nuanced. Goku is generally a pretty good dad when he's around and Gohan seems very fond of him, he's just always having to leave to do some crazy shit to save the world, or is getting killed. I suspect that Diabeeto's take on DBZ comes third hand from memes based off of the abridged series.

I also just realized he lumped Vegeta in the camp of guys trying to be better dads to better sons which is a colossally stupid take. Vegeta is a shitty father more often than not, and what little we saw of him suggested that King Vegeta was a better dad than him. Probably not a better person, what with the whole countless planetary genocides thing, but he seemed to care about his son growing up to be successful and well-adjusted by the standards of Saiyan society, while Vegeta usually can't give a shit about his son.

Latin America is a hell hole in media tastes; praising DBZ like a gift of the gods as you said but near every try to national animation (cartoon or movies) are fucking pretty bad. And don't ask me why i know that, probably you can deduct by yourself.
