How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

Phew. Finally caught up. I get busy, miss half a day and ya'll have jumped 15-20 pages. It was obvious something big had happened, but I didn't expect him to have been fired again. Seeing him experiencing first hand once again that no bad tactics, only bad targets won't save him tastes sweet. He just couldn't stop himself. I trust that he'll learn absolutely nothing from this.

As much as the Cuties controversy or wishing death on Graham was probably the last nail, it's been a long time coming. A while back the Escapist floated the idea of separating out their movie and gaming youtube channels, because there have always been commentors who wanted to subscribe to Yatz content and not Bob's. The professional/private accounts were clearly another step towards this. It's beyond hilarious that the Escapist have been doing everything in their power to help Bob to be more palatable to their viewing base. They wanted to make it work, but Bob just can't help being unlikable.

Once again, Yahtzee will be the only reason people tune in to the Escapist.

Debatable, since his numbers slimmed down as well. Also, looking at that old photo and how he looks now (somewhat fat with a crazy hobo beard) is..mmm...kinda sad
I still count him as a successful internet story. He got married, hasn’t been fired, actually puts out books, and isn’t e-begging. From what I’ve heard, he actually knows how to handle his money and his wife is pretty wealthy as well, and he seems happy with what he’s doing.
That puts him above most e-celebs, really.

Before I had to turn it off Bob speedily tells the viewer that the 80s classic "Caddyshack" was a mess of a film that was only saved by performances of its star comedians.
I'd argue Caddyshack was a product of the 1970s, not the 1980s, since it was released in July 1980, but whatever. Anyway, that was pretty much every comedy of the 1975-1985 era, though, excepting only (maybe) Animal House and Ghostbusters. Stripes, Back to School, Airplane, Porky's, Silver Streak, even Fast Times at Ridgemont High. 🤷‍♂️ I'd imagine that that's what audiences of that era kind of expected.

And is there anything comedic Hollywood's produced this century that has worked as well as even a crappy movie like Porky's? Maybe, but I can't think of any off the top of my head.

I agree with a lot of this, but I'd also point out Airplane! and most of the Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker output is in a class by itself of "zany" comedies that aren't quite so dependent on the stars. Nobody went to see Airplane! because of Robert Hays or Leslie Nielsen, and nobody went to see Top Secret because of Val Kilmer, who was a complete unknown at the time. Those movies were this weird mixture of cornball, slapstick, surrealism, and parody that nobody else really did, and which you see very little of these days. (Scary Movie came closest, and its hideous progeny barely qualify as movies.) Heck, Airplane! is actually a licensed remake of a forgotten B-movie disaster flick called Zero Hour! that the Zucker brothers caught by accident one night while recording late night tv for material for the Kentucky Fried Theatre.

40 Year Old Virgin, one or two of the Scary Movies, Waiting..., and probably the closest in spirit, EuroTrip.

But it's a sad state of affairs, no doubt. Hollywood simply refuses to make movies for guys anymore.

Feel sorry for Bob even more!

Well if they want to build their platform on positivity it's no wonder they got rid of Bob.

The fact they also mentioned Yahtzee as well in the original post is rather interesting.
Speaking of positivity and Yahtzee

Oh no....he's retarded.

So cold. So very cold. No "we'll miss you" no "it was a hard decision" just "he's gone, that is all".

Get fucked Bobby!
Nah, thats just corporate shit. I hate the guy, but, they dont hate him because to Megacorp204785 hes a nobody and they dont hate him enough because hes not worth hating. Theyre just cutting the dead fruit off of the tree. I think he hasnt commented because a) its embarrassing and he looks stupid and b) even he knows.

Never thought I'd see a fellow brazilian defending this murderous butterball, and from my neighbor state no less, but here we are. What humor can you draw from the long, winding ramblings of a guy who barely knows about what he's talking about, other than laughing at his expense?

And of course, he's the very definition of a soygolem. Yet another shit trend we, the yankee-hating free thinkers, imported from America.

"In the midst of everything else that happened yesterday ... " Yeah, he really had no idea they were getting ready to toss him overboard. All his talk about "it's business" is a mix of damage control and cope. It's amazing to me how EVEN NOW he can't hold something back on Twitter. Oversharing is one of the reasons you got fucking fired again, Bob.

Also, is this really the third anniversary of Chipman Sr. shuffling off this mortal coil? Man, they really did stick it in and break it off.

I guess bad things do happen to bad people.

The Judd Apatow Gang was behind a lot of solid comedies, Anchorman 1, 40 Year Old Virgin, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, Superbad, This Is The End, and Pineapple Express. Sadly it seems Woke Culture/Political Correctness has forced Hollywood to stop producing these kinds of movies or they at least have to placate to PC Culture and just straight up suck.

The last decent dumb comedy I can even think of recent memory was the newest National Lampoon's Vacation, which was wholly devoid of originality and lacked any semblance of warmth. But I think you'd have to be a total buzzkill to claim that Ed Helms & Christina Applegate don't produce some mild chuckles.

It’s funny too since Judd Apatow is known to be a hardcore TDS leftist.

So I went to the page where he announces the death of his father, to see how he reacted. Regardless of Bob being Bob, it is tough for anyone to lose their parents, unless they were abusive pieces of shit.
He died knowing his son never amounted to anything.
Best possible quote on Pa Chipman's passing. From what I gather, he didn't exactly approve of Bob's choice of "career", as would most parents, if they saw their kids solely focused on that kind of thing without a plan B to fall back on.

Oh well, from what it seems, he is the Patti Chandler to his Chris-Chan, a shoddy way to garner sympathy at this point.
