The thing is Forest Gump if you consider it political is a movie about Forest being a enlightened centrist, where as Jenny presents the Left and Lt. Dan represents the Right.Fascinating, I wonder if Bob just avoids clearly ideologically conservative filmmakers like Clint Eastwood or John Millius. Even a very popular film like Forrest Gump is rather conservative or at least middle of the road, that movie really makes you hate Forrest's love interest Jenny with her hippy hedonistic lifestyle and the ultimate point of the movie is that a good hearted intellectually impaired man can achieve greatness. Bob Chipman would see a man like Forrest Gump and consider him an utter trash mayo-human.
The thing is if Trump didn't get involved in politics and become a representative of conservatism/Christianity I could see him being a villain in a King of the Hill episode.I could easily see Hank written like that as well. One of the finer character traits of Hank though is that while he was a true socially conservative American he willfully ignored or accepted the sexually promiscuous activities of his two father figures, Cotton Hill & boss Buck Strictland (the latter being a clear allusion to the infamously vulgar President Lyndon Johnson). While Hank was a good christian boy who waited until marriage to finally have sex he did not think less of his mentors for honestly being shitty male role models. That's why in my autistic mind Hank wouldn't care about Trump and playboy lifestyle.
