Extra weight generally adds years to a person’s appearance. From old photos shared by Chris, it looks like Bob was already overweight at the time of his first communion (around nine years old). He’s also extremely bitter with the facial expressions to match, which is ageing as well. Nobody buys those painfully forced smiles in the selfies Chris subjects him to.

The "bonker-ass church" Chris Pratt attends to is, more likely than not, a place that congregates people for a more peaceful time, where they seek resilience and solace through hard times, and which molds their personal ethics significantly.
