I mean, I have a vague idea of the kind of bullshit that goes on in those circles, and I could easily believe Ellis entertained Blob's bullshit only as long as it benefitted her to do so, but a sincere defense of a man who is now being hoisted on the same petard he cheered for others to be hoisted upon seems like a waste of time.

There's not a single reason why Bob shouldn't be as famous a Lindsay by this point, they both started almost at the same time on the internet, but as much as I never cared about Lindsay she always kept evolving her style to at the very least keep it up with modern standards, now she has a book and a deal for another and a show for PBS at the very least.
I'm pretty sure Bob has been using Adobe Premiere 2008 ever since it released, and he doesn't even know all he can do with it. Bob could be as famous as Lindsay by this point, and he knows that, but he doesn't understand why he isn't.
Also, he's nearly 40. I'm yet to hit 25 and I already feel too old for this shit. Bob's life is truly worthless.

It’s not just a question of rejecting Bob, but of making it publicly known that there is unambiguously nothing going on. Creepers like that have all sorts of ways around a rejection - dropping ambiguous hints, not denying it when people draw certain conclusions etc.
As for “punching down,” we’ve all seen how easily the SJW crowd turn. Bob may be a small fry, metaphorically, but if he tards out over the wrong thing (which he will) and Lindsay is seen as his friend, she could get torpedoed herself. I’m pretty neutral towards her, but this is good business practice.

I’m not totally sure anyone other than Lindsey could have put someone in their place and eviscerated them within such a short paragraph.
Part of me fees sorry for him because he legit comes off as someone on the spectrum, but goddamn dude.

Not naming names, but some of you don’t seem to appreciate the lengths some women will go to — quite rightly — to avoid interaction with a creep. There is something very galling about the idea that any guy “deserves” a personal response to their creepiness. Why should an incel like Robert deserve to be be rewarded for his creepy behavior with a DM from the object of his obsession? He fucking doesn’t.

To be more specific he said something along the lines of race mixing is bad and that rich blacks commit more crime than poor whites. He's pretty much extremely based, which is the opposite you'd think for someone like him. I've definitely admired him more ever since that moment, although he would like to forget it.

I think Lindsey had to publicly abort their friendship. A block alone would not have cut it. Robert wasn't asking her to homecoming dance, his tweets implied that they were friends and comrades working towards a common goal. He was the fool, while she was the champion working toward their goals of a superior future filled with moon wheat and devoid of evil Trump voting hicks.

Not to start a political argument but he's right in some ways. Rich blacks do commit more crimes than poor whites. Plus race mixing is kind of a subjective thing, I wouldn't want my daughter to breed half black babies. Bring on the puzzle pieces. I'll be honest, one of the reasons I was really hoping for a clear-cut Trump victory was to see Bob's reaction, and I was disappointed that that didn't happen for that reason. But seeing The Abortion Chick tell him to pound sand and Bob acting like the victim, as well as the massive amount of dunking that he's been receiving has more than made up for that disappointment.
Unlike some others ITT, I feel no sympathy for Bob, and I see this as a case of him getting a taste of his own medicine. To quote a movie that he hates:
