See, this is how Bob's actual embrace of "eugenics" (or an equivalent phenomenon which he often refers to as "natural selection" despite not actually understanding what NATURAL selection is, if he's applying it to stuff like this) manifests itself. He's convinced that much like how genes get weeded out over the course of evolution, that undesirable ideas must also follow the same pattern, even if outside action (by say, Government) would be necessary. He doesn't understand that active government suppression of ideas only forces those ideas underground, and also feeds a persecution/martyrdom complex in the adherents. By persecuting any idea, one only guarantees the idea's survival. Bob hasn't learned from history, like, ever.

I mean, any realistic eugenics program that aims to support a healthy population without outright murdering people would boil down to middle/upper class tax benefits, free childcare for them; and a fluid system of social mobility that aimed to ensure that the best in the population were given access to be the best. Gene expression is limited by environment; you can have all the 'smart genes' in the universe, but if all you eat is microwave pizza, french fries and coca cola you're going to grow up to be a dunce due to poor diet.
Bobs 'thinkers' world would have to go over the poor and destitute, feed them well; try and educate them better, and then if they become part of the middle class through hard work, offer them incentives to have children. Typically the 'pull yourself up' and 'hard work' sort of behaviour has trended with the very people he hates. A eugenics system aimed at any realistic definition of 'fitness' would more than likely see huge swathes of the urbanites he loves so very much being shunted to the bottom of the pile and encouraged to not breed; while the man who clings tooth and nail to his farm would be given tax breaks, free schooling for his kids and every benefit under the sun.

I may go into "mad at the Internet" territory here, but fuck it. This graph goes beyond fedora tipping, it goes straight into outright historical ignorance or outright lies. It frames the big dip as being the Christian Dark Age while ignoring the fact that it was the Western Empire that collapsed into oblivion. As many have already stated here, it was the efforts of those in the Church that contributed massively to saving the old texts during that time, this having a hand in making the Renaissance.
The other, bigger issue here is proclaiming that progress will always be made. That isn't the case. The Bronze Age Collapse is a great example of great civilizations failing and ushering in a dark age. Of course someone like Bob would believe this graph because he has a hard-on attacking Christianity, but this thing is complete and utter shit.
