I like how he dunks on Elon Musk, even though Elon is everything Bob isn't. Elon certainly knew about manipulating the stock market before the Gamestop fiasco; he just doesn't do it (to my knowledge.)
People have often told me that Tulsi was a shill for Assad and Russia. Nobody ever seems to have any evidence of this, but they surely enjoy saying it.
She took a trip over to Syria to see wtf was going on for herself came back and decided that we shouldn't get involved in any of it. The people who keep telling you that are just neocons, they may be life long democrats but they are still neocons more than happy to sacrifice more American youth at the altar of "world policing".
And even without the technological part, people are too delusional to think that technology is just going to be there, always, forever and save them from everything they fear. Bob is definetly in this category, probably one of the most ardent defenders of this practise that technology will make everything better and will endure whatever comes its way and you are a caveman for wanting to preserve low tech solutions to modern problems. Technology can fail and will inevitably fail sooner or later. We all know that.
One of Bob's major complaints about Black Ops II was that it was "technophobic" which a) was completely off the mark and b) displayed exactly what you pointed out. Technology is a major part of his philosophy even though he doesn't know much about it. It hasn't always been used for the betterment of humanity as things like poison gas and incendiary bombs can attest. Moreover, the fear that technology will lead to our ruin is not unfounded and has been a theme in stone cold classic sci-fi and war films.
Bob is so enamored by technology that he has fashioned his life around it. If everything was reset and the electric grid fell apart or disappeared like in Escape from L.A., he would be completely and utterly useless in the world that would follow.
Bob is the best example of what Malcolms character in Jurassic park condemned. A man that hasn't 'earned' the knowledge of the civilisation he lives in, obsessed with trying to make people push limits of the things he already doesn't understand.
I'm doing a degree in Genetics; right now, literally any IVF clinic in the modern 1st world has the capacity to alter an embyro on a whim. It's not a matter of 'could' it's a matter of 'should' and every scientist, clinician and doctor knows that there are limitations to research and limitations to what should be done that are there for a dammed good reason. Applying knowledge for the betterment of mankind has to be done with respect for that knowledge. Bob doesn't understand that because Bob doesn't understand what that knowledge is. He's cavalier because he's a moron.
Bob is legit one of the few lolcows that makes me honest to god seethe sometimes. He's a living proponent of the stance that knowledge should be aggressively gatekept to keep people like him away from it.
Any science student should have learned different types of scales: nominal, ordinal, interval, and ratio. Different type of scale require different type of charts and some scales are not chartable. I hope the creator of the chart tell me which scale "scientific advance" belongs to. (Hint: "year in BCE/CE" is an interval scale; "years before now" is a ratio scale)

One would expect History, as one of the first disciplines to get the post-modern treatment, would have disabused themselves of the notions of teleology, "progress", and "right side" long ago. But I guess the specter of Marx just refuses to die.
as a tangent the spoopy ghost of marxism is never going away until our society were huge chunks of the population have fuck all and people like jeff can exist is gone.

He Jiankui? Yeah, he tried to give babies an immunity to HIV. As far as I'm aware, it didn't work all that well; which is to be expected when you're doing illegal genetic modification with your assistance being two other randoms.
Yep, his schedule is the one commonly seen in people without real life obligations to a family or job: up at the crack of 11:30, futzing around all day online since nothing interrupts but meals and keeping at it until late into the early morning before drifting off around 3am, ready to do it again...
You see it in teen slackers and college kids, but when it persists into adulthood, it's the sign of a NEET

Speaking of Malcolm, "Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should." That's a deeper level of thinking than what Blobby is capable of. In Blobbys world any advancement is good as long as a buzzfeed writer can explain it to him.

But several times during said meandering day throws out tweets like, "I'm super busy editing a project" or "fighting a deadline for publication."
Busy people are too busy to tell people how busy they are. This is the shit you do when you bring your laptop to Starbucks and try to convince some six and a half that you're an "independent filmmaker."
This is the same fat piece of shit who said, "there are no bad tactics only bad targets". Also if the retarded piece of shit paid attention he'd see that it IS the vulnerable people who are fighting back against the hedge funds.
It's almost like there should be a better way to convey all this information in a more understandable way than an autistic wall of text on Twitter. Maybe something with visuals, sound, explaining things in a way that those not versed in legalese or the franchise could understand, and using funny clips to make the audience laugh. Something like a YouTube video. What's Bob's job again? Professional Tweeter?
Probably because of his elitism. He hates the common masses and always takes the side of the big corporations hoping to be rewarded as their loyal lapdog.

You could sit him down and explain the meaning behind Malcolm's statement and how it applies to modern society in a way a sped like him could understand. He will promptly dismiss you as an alt-right Goobergater and go on about how scientists need to clone dinosaurs to take over the rural areas, hoping they will eat any of the obsoletes there.
Saw a leftist post an entire article on Medium (archived here) calling Bob a white supremacist and a Nazi, complete with LONG lists of tweets supporting each point in the article. The genuine left absolutely hate him, and holy fuck is the article a Greatest Hits of his worst takes, along with some takes I hadn't even seen before.
Bob will be the first against the wall before the useful idiots. Cuz he's a useless idiot.
Germany also supported Subhas Chandra Bose and his Indian Legion.
I highly recommend this book if someone is interested in this historical topic. View attachment 1858322
Remember when ”cool it with the anti-Semitism” was a jokey response to any criticism of the financial industry and not something people seriously said?
Pepperidge Farm remembers.
(just to repeat what I said earlier, if you think going after hedge funds makes you an anti-Semite you're implying that all hedge funds are Jewish, and if you're doing that you have no right to call anything anti-Semitic)

Slight PL, I live in an area that has enjoyed a rich history and very close connection with big-name integrated circuit and microprocessor companies and we have several fabrication facilities here as well as a huge array of supporting infrastructure.
The fabs themselves are enormous works of engineering, let alone the process of actually fabricating the ICs and packaging.
This fellow makes the point of how fragile all of this really is:
(TL; DW: When the 2011 earthquake hit Japan, it cut worldwide silicon wafer production by 25% and just restarting one ingot furnace can take a month.)
And that's just fab stuff. The supply chain is complicated and crucial and if it even blinks in the wrong places there are huge ramifications. Most of these facilities do 24-hour operations because stopping and starting the machinery or processes isn't even possible once they're going. An unscheduled interruption to the labor force could be likewise catastrophic.

This seems to be what Robert and the "trans women are real women" crowd are ultimately getting at: Transhumanism will render cisgenders and gametes permanently obsolete. With the right application of technology, they will be able to do the thing that ultimately defines "real women" at the macro scale: create offspring.
The transhumanist argument is ludicrous because it requires a the availability of expensive technology and expertise that has no guarantee of existing for the next generation (see above). A "species" that can only reproduce via the highest levels of technology available is not a species, it's a science project held together by weak scaffolding.
There are "real women" in the depths of the Amazon jungle right now who have been creating life for thousands of years and haven't seen a single stethoscope or white coat and they will continue to do so whether or not African rare earth mines have been seized by warlords.

Recently someone pulled up a graph of his tweets by time of day, and he literally tweets at all hours of the day. His schedule isn't even stable, which only makes his mood and his health even worse. I theorized that between bad sleep hygiene, sleep apnea, basement mold, alcohol consumption, and having to get up to pee all the time from diabetes and too much beer PBR, that he wakes up frequently and when that happens he tweets for a while before sleeping again.
