Really, unless you've done programming before, it's extremely hard to imagine what programming is like. It comes down to visualizing what you want the program to do then translating that through your understanding of the programming language. And anyone who has done programming before can tell you that adapting to a new language or even another person use of a language takes a lot of learning in itself. Bob can't even learn to do his own job well, much less someone elses, and I don't even know what he's trying to say by comparing it to music, they've got nothing in common aside from writing music using its own language, I guess?

I've actually tried my hand with coding, and even simplistic systems are a pain in the ass to both learn and create. Mainly because even the slightest error in what you're typing can brick a project you spent hours to make. Bob would struggle and likely fail to even make something like Hello World, but he'd happily steal the coding and run it and pretend he made it.

Since you know, he does that with those boring movies he has to pretend he watched as a "film critic" where he'll wiki it and claim he watched it.

Music can be intuited if you have a natural affinity for it, which The Beatles clearly did. Hell, even if you hand any rando a guitar and leave them to it they'll probably strum out a tune eventually because even the untrained ear can distinguish bum notes pretty easily.

From what little I remember of the basic bitch coding I did in high school it's a fairly rigid system of logic: you can't just slap at the keyboard and expect the computer to parse out the gibberish and string together any lines of stable code; you need to know what you're actually trying to do if you expect to get any usable results.
