I wish someone pressed him on this issue, but we know that he will most likely say "You know what i mean and if you don't, you're an inferior subhuman that is definetly my enemy".
I've oft alluded to a high school friend of mine who went Angry Futurist Tweeter like Bob before Tweeting was possible, and I keep going back to him because of his pathological identity to Bob when it comes to their establishing worldview. Meaning talking to him was probably pretty close to how talking with Bob himself would have gone.

It boils down to worship of "the future" as a concept, not an actual thing. To them, futurism is just religion under another name, as "future" to them is not next Tuesday, or 10/20/50 years from now, but the idea of eventual utopia for believers. (Futurists)

The future will bring them everything they want

It will exclude everything they dislike.

It will accomplish this in a manner that cannot be described yet despite being unable to lay out a 'road map" of how to bring it about, it's proponents know exactly who is bringing it and who is denying it

Those who prevented it's arrival will be severely punished

Asking for details, even in support of bringing this about, are met with angry and even caustic dismissal of "you just don't get it" because the Futurist themselves have no idea, but, cannot bring themselves to admit this, or rather don't see it as relevant. Same way a religious person cannot prove Heaven exists or accurately describe what it's like... but they sure as SHIT know that YOU don't qualify for entry unless you get on THEIR side.

So, when he'd (my friend) say something like "The Future will bring us Moon wheat!" and I'd respond "Growing crops on the Moon is possible, but prohibitively expensive, where will the money come from to give that to every single person on the planet? And what's wrong with just growing regular old wheat on the ground like we always have? What benefits would Moon wheat bring?" the response was "You don't GET it! I'm not wasting my time with this discussion anymore" It was because he couldn't' refute the claim that his future utopia was unobtainable due to financial realities, but instead of having to give up on the "Dream" he'd attack the person who "ruined" the fantasy.

Asking where the money will come from was flat out called an "excuse" by him.....

"It's 2005! We should have space stations and neural-vaults by now!"

"We have the ISS"

"YOU DON'T GET IT!"

"Well, what kind of space station were you talking about?"

"We should have space-hotels you can go to! And we could build them tomorrow!"

"Yes, but they'd cost a LOT of money"

"That's just an excuse!"

"Excuse for what?"

"Holding up progress"

"How is not having a space-Hilton holding up progress? What would it allow me to do better today at my job if it existed? If financial return, they'd build it."

"I'm not going to argue with you if you can't see what the problem is!"

This went on for years, any disagreement was "not getting it"

They fundamentally LIKE being disappointed by the lack of progress because to them it "proves" the proles of the world are holding them down. If their future where they'd prosper is being held up, then you can't fault them for current-day failure, can you?

They don't want solutions, they want to be angry.

Not only that. The SU fanbase bullied a girl into suicide because she drew a fat character not as fat. When news came of her on suicide watch, all of them were rooting for her killing herself. It reached a point where the creators of SU came to stop this crap and the fanbase turned on them and begun to attack them. It was a really interesting and terribly depressing shitshow that effectively marked the Steven Universe fanbase as the worst there is.

The fact that nerd culture is something that became "normalized" is something that made me jump boat a long time ago and i'm thankful for that. After all, some other nerdy stuff like Warhammer are trying to go mainstream by normalizing their content and making it more palatable to normies, which has already caused a lot of nerds to rise up in arms against GW. But everybody knows that GW doesn't listen to its fans.

We can say that nerd culture has suffered a "Bobification" process. Most, if not all, have drifted off from their initial purpose just to become products to sell and part people from their money. Just to make people CONSOOM as much as they can and give them new things to CONSOOM. Nothing has flair or charm, just another cheap piece of trash to wave around in the faces of manchildren so they watch agape and cry about how much they want it. Damn, what an age to be Bob Chipman.

Marx and most communist/anarchist ideologues would despise to the core of their souls every single commie of this day and age. How many anarchists today live in communes where nothing works because they spend all their time arguing about what they should do next? Next to none, and same could be said of commies who just preach rather than lead by example, because they know they would regret that decision.

Also, how would Bob feel about knowing that Marx was against gays because he considered a vice of the burguoise that was used to divide the workers in their efforts against their enemies? I bet that would make Marx an even greater undesirable. Not only he was against CONSOOMING, he also didn't liked the gay.

I don't think Bob's idea of "worthy of the superior future" is related to money. After all, most likely he will not yeet Wendy's employees no matter how poor they are. Like he said, it's "creativeness", but what the fuck does that mean with that? I keep drawing a blank on this because his descriptions are incredibly vage and he doesn't give any specific example. Is he referring to scientists? Engineers? Artists?

I wish someone pressed him on this issue, but we know that he will most likely say "You know what i mean and if you don't, you're an inferior subhuman that is definetly my enemy".
Bob's "superior future" consists of the following groups:
The politician caste (goodthinkers, of course) who decide how goodthinking will be enforced,
the intellectual caste (scientists, engineers, doctors) to make superior future machines happen,
the creative caste (artists, designers, the movie industry, and, last but not least, Youtube critics) to make consooming happen,
the service caste (burgerflippers and waiters and janitors, specifically those of the PoC variety because white people need not apply) to keep everything clean.
He sees himself in the "creative" class of people, and thus important and not at all obsolete. To him, the new working class is mainly service people (PoC barristas in particular), and creative people (aka people living on Youtube). Thus he also sees himself as "working class", and his intense hatred for white rural people working in manufacturing as absolutely compatible with claiming to actually love the working class.

To expand upon this, Bob has mentioned a few times that the reason he hates flyover states and the farmers/workers in them is because he doesn't believe that they do anything of value. I remember him saying a few times that the believes all farmers in flyover states are actually inbred hillbillies that produce nothing but meth and racism and only claim to be farmers so that the government thinks they're important. In his mind, flyover whites are exactly like the conservative view of inner city blacks all being drug addicted criminals who exist to waste tax dollars. I don't know if he actually believes this or if it's just his way of justifying hating farmers but it's interesting anyway.

He really does see the whole world as a Family Guy gag but somehow warped into dead seriousness.

Pretty much. He thinks farms and manufacturing in the midwest is just propped up by subsidies, and actual production of goods is done in other countries. In his mind, it can be all shut down because it's not needed anymore because globalism, and economic branches like the movie industry are vastly more important. He literally thinks that the movie industry is a backbone of the american economy, and that closing movie theaters would be a catastrophic blow to it because it'll cost millions of jobs in the service industry.
His view of the world is hilariously warped.

I think you're both a little confused. @The tired cat is referring to Brightburn, which was a basic "what if the kid who became Superman was actually evil" movie that I'm pretty sure has been done in DC's comics and other media a million times. Brightburn was not directed by James Gunn, he was only a producer, but they stuck his name on the poster to trick people who liked the GotG movies to go see it. So despite having nothing to do with directing it, people think it's a Gunn movie.

Bright, on the other hand, was also not directed by Gunn, but was written by Max Landis, so that's an entirely different cow.
I’m a little late and this is slightly off topic, but Brightburn was written by Gunn’s brother and his cousin. So people blame Gunn for it because his nepotism allowed it to be made.

I wonder if Bob will be a coward and finally make a snarky comment about Lindsay. She's lost her woke protection status and he basically has a free shot.

Are you kidding? He's going to fedora tip so hard he's liable to sprain his wrist. He'll leap to her defense in the vain hope she'll tearfully apologize for giving him the back of her hand.

Here, let me:

"Folks, as a professional who has worked with Lindsey, I can honestly say she is a kind person and doesn't deserve to get canceled. The fact that the twitter mob attacks people like her and not the mayo ghouls who are holding America back saddens me." - *Followed by massive farts and heavy breathing and a sinister smile rises from Bob's mouth*

And of course, when the Puritans won, they proclaimed a republic and began oppressing everyone, to the point where the populace, which did nothing when Charles I got decapitated, began to openly rebel and call for the return of the Stuart monarchy.
the Commonwealth failed because it was a completely chaotic power struggle between the government, the church and the military; without a leader as strong as Cromwell, it collapsed from within, and the monarchy was reinstated in order to impose some kind of order on the whole shitshow (and because Charles II was much less of a cunt than his father Charles I had been)
Entertainment is the most useless profession next to bloated government bureaucracy. FACT.
similarly, tertiary education exists largely for its own sake, and is desperately in need of downsizing and outsourcing abroad
Brilliant. In that case, I'd like to give Bob a choice between two places to live:
• the English county of Rutland, which has no McDonalds restaurants but a well-funded police force.
• the Federal Republic of Somalia, which has no police force to speak of but has a McDonalds in Mogadishu.
also, apart from Oakham and Uppingham, Rutland is largely rural, which would make him rage even harder

Technically, no. I checked these guys out of curiosity and they did work on some projects. However, their only "big" project was Journey 2 the Mysterious Island.

He really is one of the stupidest losers alive.
