IE reframe the debate to reflect this slippery slope meme that the right aren't just coming to ban abortion, but ALL women's heath treatment including the pill, which doctors have gotten the last couple of generations addicted to by claiming birth control can do more than just keep you from getting pregnant but is a literal wonder drug that can cure just about ANY feminine illness.

Also, there is the notion that the GOP really really don't want to recriminalize abortion the same way that the left kept dragging their feet on legalizing gay marriage until the California gay mafia forced the Supreme Court's hand. It's a huge issue that the GOP can use to drive people to the polls and fundraise off of, to the degree that it's in their best interest NEVER to bring to fruition because then they lose a MASSIVE wedge issue.

However, given how royally Roberts has fucked over the GOP by backstabbing Trump, I can't see him having any real leyway left to stop the rest of the conservative majority from banning abortion given how much harm he has done to the GOP by betraying Trump. The Cow Tools cartoon is Gary Larson's most frustrating cartoon that he ever made, by his own account. I believe he made it after watching a documentary about chimps and the tools they use and thought "heh what if I do that but with cows". It was supposed to be a silly little one panel comic with no greater meaning. What it got him was a deluge of letters (actual physical letters because this was ''82) from people contacting the newspaper it was published in because they were confused. To quote Wikipedia:

Immediately upon the cartoon's publication, Chronicle Features, which syndicated The Far Side, was inundated with queries from readers and newspaper editors seeking an explanation of the cartoon. According to the general manager of Chronicle Features, "the phone never stopped ringing for two days."[3] Larson himself received hundreds of letters about "Cow Tools," some of which were reprinted in the 1989 anthology The Prehistory of The Far Side. To reiterate, there was no greater message or themes to Cow Tools. It was supposed to make you look at it and go "Oh that's silly".

I haven't seen him directly go one way or the other. The most that I'm aware of is him retweeting the official state of Israel's account when they sent out over a thousand rocket emojis.

I do wanna point something out. I don't really like the term "serve" in this context. The last I heard EVERY Israeli MUST join and train with the military for at least 2 years. That's not serving. That's conscription. Israel forces it's populace to get military training because they are beset on all sides by people who, for whatever reason and I'm not here to argue any point, want them wiped out. Gal did not, at least I've seen no evidence of this, join the IDF willingly and salivating at the idea of popping some muzzies.
