Robin hood gets live action remake - The furry magnum opus for a new generation

That's it, I've had enough internet for one day and it's only the wee hours of the morning here.

But seriously, as it's already been pointed out I have a feeling this'll probably end up looking like Cats 2019 or pre-redesign Sonic (neither of which struck a chord with the furry fandom AFAIK). Hell, if this has typical Disney budget and has some the park's costume designers working on it I'd rather see a live-action remake with fursuits. You've all seen how complex those newer Mickey and Minnie meet-and-greet character costumes have become since the parks have first opened, now imagine those in a film that's not tied to the horror genre.
Disney is such shit these days.

What are they going to do when they run out of old movies to remake? It's the Hollywood equivalent of strip mining.

It's not anything new either, Hollywood has been cashing in on past success for so long that one day they'll run out of things to remake and reboot and they'll be shit out of luck because they've trained audiences to ignore anything that's new.
If the success of Paramount's Sonic the Hedgehog film is any indication then The Mouse would probably tap into their video game library and make films off of those. I'd LOVE to see how Disney could ruin a possible live-action Kingdom Hearts film.

By wokeshit nobody wants.

Have you forgotten these are the same people who bought the biggest and most profitable franchise in film history, only to proceed full force into endless movies with literally zero plan whatsoever?

They don't know, nor care. They probably haven't even thought about it, because they'll flip their shit when they finally DO run out.

All I can say definitely is: Disney should be glad it's already rich, because I think even now defunct Canon Films had a better business model.

Oh nooooooo

That means this will be popular again!

Well if Robin Hood did do one thing, it was create the Hamster Dance.

Honestly, I would imagine the movie looking like that Peter Rabbit movie that released a few years back, but much worser looking.

That is one valid criticism of capitalism to make is that corporations never think in the long term, it's always how can we get profit now and not caring about the long term consequences.

One good example of how that can bite a corporation in the ass is Blockbuster, they had the opportunity to buy Netflix and chose not to because it wasn't profitable enough at the time, had they actually thought ahead into the future they would have realized "oh shit, the internet is only going to get more popular" and jumped on the chance but chose not to and eventually went defunct because of it.
