Robocop is coming out next year, and a gameplay footage trailer dropped recently

This is being made by the same people who made Rambo (shit), and Terminator (outstanding 'B' game) which captured the spirit of the movie, and the nostalgia perfectly even though it was a little janky at times.

Really looking forward to a good Robocop game.

Get hyped.

If they can capture Robocop, the same way they captured Terminator, I'm happy. It won't be an outstanding game, but it must be fun and 'authentic'.

The gameplay for this looks awesome.


They really nailed the tone of the orignal. Feels like the terminator game they did with a lot more polish. Very pleasantly surpised to see dialogue trees. They are Straight up retconning 3 for their own take.

Im a little concerned at the lack of a release date but otherwise very hyped. If you pre order they give the nice blue sheen he has in robo 2.

Yeah pretty much. But most outright ignore it, while this makes mention of OCPs plan for buying up the city. Either way the plot looks nice. Apparently some quests also give you leeway on how aggressive or diplomatic you want to be in the encounters.

It would be pretty funny to see if you could go over the top non lethal like the TV series.
 
If it’s as enjoyable as their Terminator game than I am onboard! The gameplay looks good so I just hope everything else shapes up nicely

Holy shit you made me remember there was a Robocop TV series lol. Now I’m gonna have to spend the rest of my day watching that and James Bond Jr.

Are you thinking of the cartoons or the Canadian live action TV series?

There's been a couple Robocop cartoons I think. There was one in the 80's and then one in the 90's where I think they turn him into an urban commando or something in "the future"

The “in the future” one definitely has to be from the 90s, pairs nicely with Sherlock Holmes In The 22nd Century lol.

IIRC, it doesn't even stick to it properly and was mostly there to sell the idea of flying cars/bikes.

But I'm basing this on my memory as an 8 or 9 year old so maybe I'm wrong. I should really try to see if it is online and watch it again, it was called Robocop: Alpha Commando.
