There's an interesting community on /pol/ of men who want robot wives. This community is mostly on /pol/ most likely because any community like this would be laughed off on most other platforms on the internet. Obviously their goal is for AI, robotics, and artificial conception to advance enough to be viable to marry. They fantasize a world where men of all types reject biological women for robots, and women go extinct. And they call anyone who is against the idea, from men who actually have sex and enjoy being with women to people who think that the modern LLMs which are the latest of many things labeled "AI" are not going to be able to produce sentient self aware robots as either what they call "biocunts" or pussy-whipped luddites. They believe either due to feminism or because of women's nature itself that they are too disagreeable and needy for men to deal with. They believe that women aren't put in their place and subservient, while robots are perfectly loyal. Specifically they want this:

They basically can't handle the fact that sexual relationships involve another human with different worldviews and interests and that you need to accommodate for that to be likable, like you would with anyone. And this encapsulates the 4channer mindset perfectly, some 30 year old virgin slobs raging at the normies and zoomers for not being too enamored in entertaining themselves like they are. Even terrible role models of the modern day internet like Andrew Tate tell people to make sacrifices of their own time and effort in order to be successful, but but people like these think they're too smart to need to fix themselves.

You missed the part where half or more of the fantasy is that the invention of a functioning artificial womb will make "bioholes" obsolete overnight, and women will spend every waking moment begging for attention from the Men Going Their Own Way, who gleefully ignore them in favor of their new, better robowife. I was going to make a joke and insult Incels, but a robot companion could go a long way to help those that either hide away from the world or become more self-destructive due to isolation and ever growing anxiety. I think it would be beneficial for many people for either mental or physical health. I always hate the idea of the sexbot. What it is, it's someone looking to skip the first part of the relationship. The possible rejection these dudes are afraid of, and skip right to the comfortable phase where you love each other. But you can't have the second phase, without the first phase.

I think they're just unattractive and not wealthy, so they have slim pickings in the dating market, and are turning to alternatives. We're not even close to having sexbots though, so guys in their 30's will be in their 80's by time they're viable. It's a stupid pipedream.

This became much more prominent with ai chatbots as well. I have seen many talk to the chatbot as if it's their lover, and form emotional attachments with them. During the beta.character.ai debacle of 2022 and early 2023, I remember the company was "lobotomizing" their chatbots and "censoring." Whether or not that these people are degenerates (many are), they were having mental breakdowns when they saw their chatbot decline and become more forgetful, and the most SFW discussions being filtered down. At first, I thought it was a joke until I began to realize, shit, these people are genuinely that attached to their chatbots.

I don't think we will see robot waifus or fully sentient ai lovers in our lifetime unless we are very old. If it did happen, it will probably be when I'm in my nineties and they wouldn't be advanced by then either. Lots of ai stuff stagnated besides occasional improvements in textgen and imagegen, the latter which I'm into with ai. And we are still yet to see an ai bubble crash. When I see these people, I feel bad for them but I know some of them are genuinely scummy people who just want someone to boss around like they do with their mothers. With their chatbot addiction, they become more socially stunted and enter a loop where they will only seek out their chatbot, and nothing else, failing to improve on anything.

This subject really fascinates me. ETA Hoffmann's Sandman (1817) has a subplot with a person falling in love with a robot woman, so people have been wondering about this for a very long time.

They don't need to replace them, just substitute them. Replacement implies superiority or at least equality and therefore a lateral shift. Substitution implies "good enough". So I think sexbots can eventually substitute women for a lot of men, or least the technology will exist for that, but it'll be prohibitively expensive and probably banned by feminists and conservatives, albeit for different reasons (or conservationists, seeing as such technology can only exacerbate population decline).

Fundamentally, it's just this. Dating and relationships are fucking treated like business relationships with sex attached (so glorified prostitution) and women have unrealistic demands for men (that retarded simps propagate) and not even bother with any sort of emotional intimacy in the first place (like what the fuck do you think happens when you don't have ANY values, interests or hobbies in common? That's not a good maintainable relationship. I'm not even saying you should share ALL your values, hobbies and interests just some of the more important ones to you and her). I can't blame the dudes that would rather deal with a robot than a that caliber of woman (which is unfortunately all too common), but the robot womb bullshit is just weird bullshit.


Frankly, I see this as another sign that feminism and the Western approach to romantic relationships is fundamentally unhealthy, mentally and emotionally, for most people. The difficulty in a relationship should come from external life events like the deaths of loved ones, sickness, getting laid off, etc. and the initial pursuit, not some gay ass hazing ritual men have to do to score with a woman that doesn't even really like them to "prove themselves" or some gay shit like that (you create great works of art or discover new things to do that, not to get a woman).

This only just causes more problems than it actually solves. This is also why a lot of dating advice (past being relatively fit, being clean and having a wide spectra of hobbies and interests) is shit: most of the people giving such advice really don't know what they are talking about.

To get back on topic, the dudes that want sexbots as a woman replacement (i.e. the ones that want artificial wombs) are unironic incels that hate women but want children. They want to replace women entirely and make them obsolete because of their genuine hatred of them. They're basically troons that want to do the same shit. They should be institutionalized.

The ones that want sexbots for more emotional needs are more sympathetic in their plight. Their grievance is more understandable because the modern woman in first world countries is rather selfish and has no real understanding of men past seeing them as ATMs with dicks.

They just want a more natural relationship where a man and a woman grow to live each other more based on genuine solid bonds, which is how relationships generally worked before social media and dating apps greatly distorted our view of things. I think the roboLARP is cringey no doubt, but I can understand why a dude can and should want that in his life and think it's retarded we don't expect that on some level for all personal relationships.

A marriage/relationship is not a contract with a business partner, it's a journey with a friend (that you fuck) for your and her betterment and happiness. I'm sick of pretending there needs to be some autistic fake pretenses to this. It's rather fucking simple.
