These people don't seem to understand that the South Park episode in season 1 about 40th trimester abortions was poking fun at the fringes of the pro-choice movement that existed in the 1990's, the idiots that genuinely thought that it was easier to scrape every single pregnancy out than it is to use contraceptives, or god forbid, not fuck every dude that wanders by. It's not an exercise in autonomy to demand post 24-week abortion, the pregnancy is viable, and if you got pregnant because you're one of the hundreds of women that fucked "West Elm Caleb", then your issue is only an autonomy issue because you exercised your sexual autonomy in deciding that the 6'5" dude was hot, and it was okay to let him raw you from behind without any kind of protection.
It's especially frustrating that they'll claim single-payer, on-demand abortions are necessary, when what's actually necessary is explaining, at the appropriate point in a young teens' physical and emotional development, that random, unprotected sex carries a risk of pregnancy and STIs, that pregnancy comes with massive physical, emotional, social, economic, educational costs, and early parenthood is highly likely to become single parenthood, which unleashes a huge list of negatives on the children raised in that environment, including a higher likelihood of becoming single parents in their own right.
But naw, they're too busy demanding that we let the child predators "read" to our students, that pre-K to grade 3 is the perfect time to start teaching not just about sex ed, but also about how minor deviance from gender stereotypes is proof that a child is actually "born in the wrong body", and that the teachers get to take "in loco parentis" to mean they're allowed to overrule parental rights.
