I don't know if anybody has heard of this yet but it's a movement down in the south where a bunch of good ol' boys are making a stand and giving the middle finger to both Obama and the environment in the best way they can think of: By polluting the air.

That's right, they spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars to install smokestacks on their trucks and install a device that fools the engine into pumping out more fuel just to create thick clouds of toxic black smoke.

Yeah! That'll show them there libruls and their caring of the environment! We'll shorten the life of our engines and fuck up the air just to show them that we can.

wow. Nothing surprises me any more. I've never seen such a thing in the Northwest which is quite rednecky itself. Just people driving their pristine F-450s, never carrying a heavier load than their pet dog in the back.

and a sticker of Calvin pissing on the word 'Environment" and another of him kneeling at a cross.

Now I understand what they mean by "Pick-Up-Artist".

In Virginia anyways there are strict (and sometimes stupid) vehicles laws, you have to get an inspection on your vehicle yearly with a sticker on the windshield proving that your vehicle meets state specs and doesn't have any illegal modifications. This truck would have a cop car on its tail the moment it started up.

Ok so I have a big bad diesel truck. I also have a fuel sipping Cobalt. I don't have diesel stacks (on either vehicle) but I have a lot of friends with that mindset. Let me first say that these people are being slightly mis-characterized. While it's true the energy boom has produced a "rich redneck" culture nobody is driving around smoking like you see in those pictures all the time. While they do make puffs of smoke it's when they want to. Fuel is expensive and the black smoke is unburnt fuel. It's something you force the truck to do for show. Some people have boxes they switch on, while others have manuals like me that smoke like crazy if you floor it 1000 rpm in a high gear. Now I'm a cheap bastard and refuse to waste fuel so I never do it.

The stickers and stuff is just them taking a stand on something they believe in. It's stupid, but about as harmful as the moron who drives 55 in the fast lane to make a point that speed kills.

Now, the biggest waste I've ever personally seen was in Fremont, CA back in 1999 when I was at a red light and the truck next to me at a stoplight burned his tires out the whole light and filled the intersection with smoke. Funny, but stupid.

tl;dr; The point of this is for show sometimes. Not all the time. If someone has the money to do it all the time then godspeed. May the thousands they spend a year on fuel taxes pay to plant a few trees.

Just keep in mind that not everyone down here is an abject moron. I do what I can, but I'm a tiny blue dot in a red sea of stupidity.

If red states are so stupid then why do people keep moving to them from blue states? Oh yeah, jobs, lower taxes, and better quality of life. Leave your voting patterns back home thanks. (If you are native born in a red state then I guess we are brother rebels. I grew up in San Francisco and am farther to the right than Goldwater.)

It's fucking stupid, and if you do it, you're being a fucking douche.

For fuck's sake. I don't care if you only do it once, you have to be an exceptional individual to deliberately pollute just to show up those dern libruls. God, I'm stunned I haven't seen any bogan warriors out here doing this shit to stick it to the politicians who don't want the carbon tax repealed.

If someone has the money to do it all the time then godspeed.
Not if I have to drive behind them and inhale that shit, thanks.

I don't think conservative politics is what makes February better in the Sun Belt than in New Hampshire.

Exactly. Those smoke stacks could cause someone drving/riding in close proximity to have an asthma attack or other breathing difficulties. If they want to burn fossil fuel to stick it to the liberals, they can do it on their own fucking property where other people won't be directly effected by their bullshit. It's so blindingly selfish and obnoxious. When I was a kid I couldn't even go into an auto repair place without having breathing difficulties and the exhaust was nowhere near the scale of this bumfuckery. Fuck them.

You guys have never been to a mud running hole have you?

Oh boy. Ohohoho boy

Come back to me when you've the mud runner's and their vehicles. Until then you haven't seen anything.

The original trollface comic pretty much sums this up:

People who "roll coal" like to imagine liberals going off in an incoherent rage, when really they just make themselves look like idiots.
