No Haggle has posted some stuff for a cool looking Red Dwarf RPG they're working on, and we recently got the first big update for CWC Adult Chronicles in a long time, which made me wonder if anyone else on these forums has made any games using RPG Maker?

It can be hard to find the few good ones in the sea of shit, but the people here are pretty cool so this would narrow things down a bit. I already know what the popular ones are, what I'm looking for are small personal projects actually made by the folks 'round these parts.

Disquiet: Is an adventure game I made about a year ago. It sort of straddles the border of being a dark comedy or a horror game. There's no combat, although you can die or even kill a few people based on your actions (so you should save a lot). There are two different endings, one is only possible if you meet certain conditions, and which one is the good ending will depend on your personal interpretation. It's short (30 min to 1 hr. to complete, unless you get stuck) and completely finished.

And like all small-scale who-cares RPG Maker games: there's no walkthrough anywhere on the internet. If you want to beat it, you have to actually beat it. If someone can get the secret ending and post here what it is I'll... do something... nice... I'll figure something out.

Sounds cool. Definitely gonna check it out when I have some free time.

Bought it a while back when it was on sale. Have no inspiration though.

Touhou Mother
If you like Touhou and Earthbound, it is a must play (if not, all the jokes will be lost on you). You just have to appreciate the fact that the creator managed to replicate Earthbound's battle system.

And funny you should mention that you're looking for games made by forum members. When I joined this forum, I wanted to start a group project to make a CWC-themed horror game based off of Ao Oni (another RPG Maker game that's a must play for horror fans). I have the general idea but I'm at a lost for making maps and puzzles. Having said that, would anybody be interested if I tried to make that game?

A CWC-themed Ao Oni type of game does sound interesting though I don't have any skills in making something on RPG Maker. Even then, that sort of game does sound fun.

I made a really short one with the free version last summer, but that was on my old computer. I have no idea what happened to the files.

I also started a really shitty zombie apocalypse one a few months ago, but I stopped caring about it a while later.

I also mentioned on the CWC Adult Chronicles thread that I almost started work on a SammyClassicSonicFan RPG, but I forgot about it.

I love GulpyGulpy, last time I saw it it made me genuinely laugh, also, he intro is HILARIOUS and the sound effects. Maybe I just have a weird sense of humor, I don't know

ARUGA!

Do you have playable demos of any of your stuff you could share?

I've been looking through my computer and I have tons of RPG maker games that somehow survived. I found the first half of a pretty solid traditional RPG starring myself and two of my friends. I found a merciless and surreal game I made in college called Escape From The Mall. I found a game I made for my sister back when she was teaching in Japan. This is like digging through my life.

None of the "Penultimate Fantasy" games I made in high-school though. That's probably a good thing though, I imagine they were pretty cringe-worthy.

I managed to complete on game using RPGMaker 95, I still have it and it is literally the worst thing ever.

I'll think about lol. I was like 14 when I made it and thought I was being so FUNNEH AND RANDUMB. I cringe whenever I think about it.

I actually found that zombie RPG.

A bit of backstory, in Bible class (which I don't even know what in the hell we were learning in it), the teacher was trying something new this year. He made us do these "Passion projects." They were literally anything you wanted. You didn't even have to complete it, just show that you worked on it. At first I wanted to make a Source engine mod, just a very simple one, assuming that even though I had no programming experience whatsoever that I'd be able to make on using only the Valve Developer Wiki. I am not a smart man. When that didn't happen, I tried to learn C++. That fell through after I was unable to find any tutorials that I understood. So with only two months left until the deadline, I quickly made this piece of shit. I regret it completely. Everyone else was doing really cool shit like learning to hunt or building PC rigs (which I probably would've done if it wasn't for the fact that I had just got a new laptop a few months before the project started as a birthday present), and I felt really inadequate because I just did some shitty almost-game in what's essentially a game generator. I would've just deleted it from my hard drive as soon as I found it, but you asked for a demo, so here you go.

Post it.
