Yeah, Usenet was full of spergs and weirdos, but it was also a place where Nazis, satanists, RPG players and weird fetichists could chill and shoot the breeze about whatever.

Or have they spent so much time avoiding normal people in their basements that they no longer realize that D&D in fact isn’t real, and that the Monster Manual isn’t an in depth guide to other cultures, but in fact… A MONSTER manual for DM’s who needs monsters for their campaign?

I mean come on… Debating colonialist violence against orcs is pretty much as deep as retardation goes.

I’m down for an AD&D campaign where one of the players is an insufferable recent graduate from a wizardry university, who constantly lectures the other players about the impact of colonialism on goblins, the long, proud history of Orc culture and Ranger violence against trolls is a growing problem and a crisis that must be addressed by disarming paladins.

“You can’t just judge ALL orcs because one orc, many years ago killed your parents and ate your little sister. That’s BIGOTRY!”

I will give rpg.net a sliver of credit for supporting personal gun ownership pre-Summer of Love when it became acceptable for leftists to do so. It was the one typically conservative position they held, much to the outrage of tards like kittyvoodoo.

Progressives really do not like the idea that people are not blank slates. They honestly believe that but for racism, all those kids living in the projects would become doctors and engineers. When a white student fails a math test, it's because he didn't study hard enough. Yeah, it used to be... not so bad about guns.

But, like... why is anyone even pretending to be shocked that gun owners are generally "anti-democratic party"? It's like being shocked that shop owners are "anti-shoplifter". Wait, on second thought, plenty of them seem surprised by that, too.

Like, there are democrats who own guns. I get it. What I don't get is the cognitive dissonance involved - and I know some of them. Nice guys, individually. Just... It doesn't make sense.

Every pro-2A Democrat I know ties themselves in knots to come up with explanations as to why the Democratic Party really isn't anti-gun and that gun control isn't a partisan issue. The mental contortions get truly unique.

Purely anecdotal but every leftist gun owner I've talked to treated guns as a nifty hobby they enjoyed but would immediately give up if daddy government said no. Certainly no sense that their weapon is a potential check on government tyranny. I know that probably 90% of the cold dead hands/don't tread on me/molon labe rhetoric is just empty bravado, but at least the rhetoric is there. How much sadder is it when you won't even verbally defy the feds?
