RPGnet Forums

My big takeaway from their reactions is how completely deranged they are in general. Discourse is seen as a most serious threat to.... god knows what.. feel-feels maybe? So dangerous that they fear allowing it to continue without around the clock babysitting. An unfortunately worded message is violence, a wrong opinion worse than a WMD. They act as if the safety, if not the very lives, of the users are in their hands. I mean this is a few levels beyond walking on eggshells 24/7.. Not even ReeeeEra is usually this bad in terms of sheer derangement.

I'm not sure which is worse, getting all of your news from Tangency, or getting all of your news from John Oliver.

As horrifying as it is logical given the state of the site and its members!

Because people have boundaries, maybe? Because it's motherfucking ridiculous to explore the sexuality of a character that exists only in your head? I mean, if you start seriously considering what turns the sexual crank of your 15th-level wizard, you've been in the basement so long that your skin will probably start sloughing off as soon as sunlight even grazes it. It's like acknowledging the importance of food in people's lives by preparing a five-course meal for a Barbie doll. No matter how good it is, she can't eat it. (I've tried, she won't.)

Sadly, I think MacLennan is one of the formerly based guys who went full SJW douchebag in the last decade.

Lennan writes funny reviews but he was a SJW douchebag even back in the original FATAL review times. Lots of kvetching about misogyny present in 3 pages out of 900, but no mention about things like cost of a full suit of armor being higher whole than if you buy it in parts, how a king could afford a trebuchet after saving his "salary" for 30 years, how you have a ~50% chance to roll average age higher than maximum age when making a char or how the authors were much more obsessed with cannibalism than rape - there are IIRC 3 magical items which have seemingly no purpose other than drinking blood.

Mods take a brief moment away from moderating the middle east trashfire to dickride the red man.

Indian fairy tales: these are  special so don’t write about them or even  talk about them without permission from the people who created them.

Sometimes I'm sorely tempted to try dropping this video on the site and scurrying off.

Relevant part quoted from the transcript:
Being triggered, look that's actually a gift to see what you need to work on, not not a way to censor other people. Like yes we should all be very considerate, but if you're seeing triggers more in terms of like censoring others rather than an opportunity for self-exploration, you're doing yourself a huge disservice.

Is anyone else able to see the Infractions forum? I like to check in every few weeks to watch the train wreck, but it's not showing up for me any more.

I can understand if they removed it from guest users (which also would prevent us from grabbing archives), but I'm surprised to not see it when logged in. I also didn't see any announcement explaining its absence.

Yeah, I think that they've hid it an little bit after those Palestinian crusaders started duking it out with Israel.

This, however, is likely an attempt to shield themselves from being criticized for taking the wrong viewpoint of that war, considering how there was an banwave to curtail the sperging

Thanks, wanted to make sure it wasn't just me! Damn, what am I going to do without my regular doses of schadenfreude?!

Interested to see what they do and how they spin this.

"Keep pace with the site's cultural expectations."

Man, if I used such pussified language to describe walking on eggshells at one of the worst sites on the web, I'd be grateful to be called a faggot.

Lmao at them trying to spin it as protecting their userbase when they're just mad people are mocking their rulings. How are you going to target someone for harassment when all you know is 1. Their username. 2. They got a week's vacation for calling for Total Jew Death? Could be a grain of truth to their wanting to keep things from getting scraped by bots though, depending on how the Gaza  war cleansing shakes out there might need to be a lot of rewriting history done real fast.
