It reads like that, doesn't it? There's a smattering of articles appearing where a woman tries to prove her beliefs and finds out that they're based on nothing, it's a good trend to see. The defensiveness often comes from wanting to not just be dismissed as an alt-right chud for even questioning the narrative, but I think in this example more than others she already knows that nothing she says will be enough, and that these same people will hate her just as much as they hate anyone else who shows them to be garbage people. What I would really put money on is that the author was getting angry and enraged at Zak constantly "getting away" with his lawsuits and accusations and decided she was going to write a definitive take down of him.
. . .And then as she dived further and further into the details, she hit up against that most fearsome enemy of all RPG.net mods: reality.
Yup, all the RPGNet mods are exactly these people. Most of the userbase as well. Of course they're avoiding accountability.Oh let this place burn...
"We will not be discussing this infraction further" means "we can't really defend this action without tipping our hand too much, so we're just going to refuse to discuss it at all!"Thread has been completely erased from the forum, doesn't even show up on their posting history.

Mods really didn't want that doc getting spread around in their backyard, I don't think I've ever seem them completely erase a thread before, at most they'd redact and edit posts they didn't like.

"Posting on behalf of a banned user" was the official charge. Referring to Zak I assume?
the playbook has never let them down after all"We will not be discussing this infraction further" means "we can't really defend this action without tipping our hand too much, so we're just going to refuse to discuss it at all!"
It would take me a bit to find but there's an article I read once about how Ibram Max Kendi read the book "bloodlands" which is about how shit Poland was treated in WW2 (by nazis then by soviets) and apparently had an existential crisis because not only was their treatment way worse than what blacks went through in America, but it was done to white people by white people.
The oppressor/victim paradigm is one of the worst memes to infect people.
They had to put the second bulletpoint or they risked being sued for discrimination.Háu, fellow injuns!
Coyote And Crow are hiring and point out that a warbonnet and predisposition to alcoholism isn't required (except for some positions where it totally is)
Will C&C become a colonized company? Only time will tell!

Long-term exposure to woke causes paranoid schizophrenia and detachment from reality. Many such cases. Sad!
Looking at his posting history this seems to be a very recent change. Wonder if we'll see more of this when he gets back.
It's only Wednesday, and this is already the most unhinged thing I have seen all week.

FOUND IT!Do you have a link? I tried some cursory searching but couldn't find it. There's some places I could get some wailing and gnashing of teeth if I post something like that.
But it is a chaotic amoral universe that also explains why Coates is committed to a deeply held view that white supremacy is built into the very DNA of this United States and therefore will not “perhaps ever” be defeated.
Coates arrived at this pessimistic view by reading European historians Tony Judt and Timothy Synder, who promote a tradition of liberal moderation opposed to the great political ideologies of the 20th century, specifically Marxism:
I don’t have any gospel of my own. [Tony Judt’s] Postwar, and the early pages of [Timothy Synder’s Bloodlands], have revealed a truth to me: I am an atheist. (I have recently realized this.) I don’t believe the arc of the universe bends towards justice. I don’t even believe in an arc. I believe in chaos. I believe powerful people who think they can make Utopia out of chaos should be watched closely. I don’t know that it all ends badly. But I think it probably does.Coates’s belief that white supremacy is fundamentally woven into the fabric of the United States is built on a larger metaphysical assumption that without the existence of God the entire world bends towards injustice. He points to the egregious history of racial injustice in this country, and the atrocities committed by the Nazis and Soviets, through the books of Judt and Snyder, to prove his point.
They don't want to do any real work but they like authority, discord mod is great for them or some kind of ethics advisor or DEI consultant. What's strange is the disconnect between the moderation team who are all "he/they/xer", trigger warnings, flag emojis, and politics, and those with the developer badge who seem normal.
It's the standard "white people don't get treated in a racist way!" drivel that these ignorant fools rant about. Ignoring the existence of shit like "no dogs, no blacks, no Irish," innumerable shit talking about the majority of Eastern Europe in the UK and USA who are predominately white and a long list of other things.
Unsurprised that L5R is getting targeted but honestly can't care. Hilariously most of this site at this point would also say Double Cross is an offensive parody of Japan despite it being a Japanese (as in made in) rpg. Ditto Tenra Bansho Zero.
Resetera (and other similarly moderated forums) make a lot more sense when you realize the staff are running a Paranoia LARP with themselves as the Violet/Ultraviolet controllers with Friend Computer being whatever the current retarded leftist cultural zeitgeist is.
Odd aside, the new Paranoia book has a comment on the whole race/sexuality/gender etc.Stay alert.
Trust no one.
Keep your laser handy.
Paranoia has always been heavy on satire
(not parody, there is a big difference). It mocks
government, religion, business, capitalism,
communism and a whole lot more. It can also get
more specific in satire, such as mocking bro culture,
anti-vaxxers and egghead intellectuals. Some people
might find a sacred cow or two being satirised and
get upset. However, Paranoia’s setting does not deal
with gender, sexual preference, race or ethnicity. None
of that matters to the game’s setting, so they should
never appear at the table/screen.
Enjoy cratering L5R. You and Deadlands alike should have known better. Then the latest supplement got sensitivity readers and suddenly there's sidebars about "performing decolonization at the table" and how Rokugan is imperialist
As an old spider clan player this makes me sad.L5R RPG 5e actually started out pretty based in that its initial warning about cultural sensitivity was explicitly "don't offend anyone who might overhear you". Then the latest supplement got sensitivity readers and suddenly there's sidebars about "performing decolonization at the table" and how Rokugan is imperialist (despite the whole Rokugani colonies lore bit being removed in 5e as the insane cardgame-driven metaplot got completely reset). All this despite the game still being tied to completely nonsense place names like the Imperial capital of Otosan Uchi.
As always, the sensitivity readers are at best third generation immigrants and I'm 100% sure I know more about non-Yamato Japanese tribes than them, since I actually read one of the few extant sources that has hints about their culture.
On any other forum (except Resetera) this would be a satire post.So there's some kind of drama kicking up around a small RPG company named Evil Genius, some five of their employees simultaneously posted that they were leaving because of "ethical reasons" with no details or receipts of anything. The company's owner showed up on ENWorld and said that there had been debate in the company about whether to lean into AI and blockchain stuff and that they had decided against it, implying that that's why the people split but not being specific about it. That led to this gem that sums up RPG.net mods perfectly:

"Fair and reasonable"
Actually, I find that comment reasonable. Gender, sex-prefs, race, and ethnicity have NEVER played a role in the Paranoia setting (in fact, having a sexual preference was a sign you were off the Computer-mandated supplements which deactivated your sex drive). The whole game is about how you can kill off your teammates while making it look like an accident or Commie infiltrators and remaining blameless.Odd aside, the new Paranoia book has a comment on the whole race/sexuality/gender etc.
See, that would be reasonable except for how much they cry about that shit being integral to everyone's core character and muh representation in everything else and how it needs to be centered in every fucking thing. That, coupled with that smarmy tone describing everything else irritates me.Actually, I find that comment reasonable. Gender, sex-prefs, race, and ethnicity have NEVER played a role in the Paranoia setting (in fact, having a sexual preference was a sign you were off the Computer-mandated supplements which deactivated your sex drive). Agreed. That they address it in that way though is odd because they bring the topic up and tell people it's irrelevant. There's not many saying that now despite as you say it being irrelevant to the setting.Actually, I find that comment reasonable. Gender, sex-prefs, race, and ethnicity have NEVER played a role in the Paranoia setting
