Too bad most of those magic failures are things such as forcing every [INSERT RACE/SEX OF NPCS AND PLAYER CHARACTER HERE] in a one mile radius to rape the spellcaster to death, seeking out slaves so they can jack them off and collect their semen in bottles, or have an intense craving to suck cock every day or be forced to die as a result, or gaining +10 in one of the many riveting skills in the game, including the classic RPG skill of Architecture, Charisma (Kinetic) and Basket-weaving, among others. The best one is the magical failure result where the campaign ends because you "accidentally" destroyed the entire world.

I recall that there were also a bunch of "caster's entire body is tattooed with the symbol of and worships ______" where ______ was some FATAL god or demon lord. Although accidentally offering up a binding pledge of your soul to some occult entity is an interesting twist, that really only should be one entry with a second table for what you accidentally pledged yourself to.

FATAL already has enough tables that lead to other 1d1000 tables that lead to other 1d10000 tables that lead to nowhere. I will admit that I used some ideas from the game for my own homebrew stuff, but only the general idea and never at face value. The closest one that you can almost use as-is if you change some of the autistic stats that are being affected is the Anakim traits table.
The Anakim are half-demons and as such their demonic heritage manifests in different ways, so you roll a 1d10 to see how many demonic traits you get and a 1d100 for the trait table itself. Most of them range from the mundane - the character can cast a basic spell once a day without preparation, just get a flat 50% damage reduction because their skin is abnormally hard, or they have demonic features which make them uglier. Then you have some which can have interesting applications - for example the character casts no shadow, the character leaves no footprints, the character has completely white eyes so you can never tell where they are looking, the character must eat inordinate amounts of food not to starve to death, the character flies into a rage if someone insults them which leads to a forced battle. Then you have traits which are just Classic FATAL - the character always smells like shit, the character can cast a spell which forces another to have sex with them, the character has to eat a dead person's penis/vagina once a week or die, the character causes every human to crave anal sex, the character has farts so loud it can kill living beings by being so loud it causes their heads to explode, the character always attacks a member of a certain sex or race unless they pass a drive check.
Maybe some other earlier systems had them, but I didn't know of them at the time, FATAL was one of the first systems that I downloaded not to play it but to see what everyone was gawking at. The worst part about it is that you'd think the reviews are being hyperbolic, but then when you actually read it it's much, MUCH worse.

It's almost an achievement in how appallingly bad it is. It can't be easily dismissed as just an extended shitpost like RaHoWa or similar edgelord fare. Someone actually put work into this. Despite this, it is all but unplayable.

Seriously, while RaHoWa is objectively worse, it's at least less than 20 pages, FATAL has more than a whopping 900 pages of pure unadulterated autism with mechanics as riveting as having to roll to piss properly (including a pissing skill!) or them actually expecting that your character's class would be determined by a roll... which isn't unheard of, but then they seriously expected all the classes they listed to be player character classes, so in addition to your standard RPG classes such as rogue, soldier, druid, mage, you may also end up playing classes such as baker, goatherder or prostitute.

it's the end product of a statistician writing an rpg and no one ever asks "how does it improve the game?" or tries to stop him. it's a ride down the "trying to put reality into rpg tables" rabbit hole.
that being said I still value it somewhat for the pure autistical output that was generated, and you have to admit the world would be poorer without it. part of it is getting a bad rep for shit that's blatantly misrepresented, like the anal circumference meme. a) it's optional and b) mentioned several times it comes down to what game you wanna play - it's basically like writing a dnd murderrape splat and preface it with "don't use it if you don't want to".

But I could sit down and enjoy a game with an SJW if they just keep their trap shut. Got a couple of friends who game with us who are, and they're okay to game with. Just don't ask them about politics.

Technically CanoeMan is right - there's nothing preventing some form of style that we might recognize as rap from developing in any number of cultures independently all over the world. It's just without any recording devices, we have no way of knowing if any listed song was once "rapped" by the previous people.

See, FATAL is full of degenerate sex, but the degenerate sex is just the cherry on top of the shit sundae. FATAL also has hilariously autistic mechanics, juvenile attempts at humor, awful worldbuilding, and a host of other issues that contribute to its legendary badness. Regardless of the authors intent, FATAL works as a satire of a certain type of TTRPG player: the guy who’s obsessed with complex mechanics and “realism”, lacks any sort of social skills or boundaries, is a total degenerate who sticks his fetishes into your game, and plays every game as Murderhobo Happy Hour.

Black Tokyo is just...a slog. It’s a pit of coomer degeneracy written by a complete pervert who desperately attempts to justify it as “art”. And since the mechanics are standard d20 Modern shit, they’re competent enough to not be entertaining. There’s no cringy death metal shit, no random incel rants, and no armor that turns you into racial stereotypes. None of the cringey shit that makes FATAL a twisted joy to read. In Black Tokyo, the only thing you get is gross sex deviancy. It’s like a pit which gets deeper and deeper with every page. There is no Anal Circumference Table here.
