They also say "OSRS" in 2002, OSRS didn't exist until 2013.

Unfortunately, this is just what happens with any game or franchise worked on by a large number of different people coming and going over multiple decades. Jagex is a British company that bounces between different equity firms so it's highly unlikely that anything will ever get better. And when the userbase pushes back, like the anti-pride riots in OSRS, the company blames the players for being evil chuds. This is but one brick in the wall that is modern Western video games tbh, they all fucking do this. Once your American or British dev team hits double digits, it's over.

I hate sounding (and feeling) blackpilled about it, but short of nuking the UK I can't think of any way to fix it. I just want to grill click rocks.

As long as most anime shows and games reject trannyshit, I will continue to support Japanese, Korean, and Chinese media. I suspect Japanese media will become fully pozzed in the next decade since it a puppet state of the US and the troon-obseesed billionaires that control it. However, China is holding back the troon menace due to the CPC's control over major corporations and its willingness to arrest and kill corporate executives who push trannyshit, while South Korea has based TERFs that will set off a sarin gas train attack if South Korean companies start pushing trannyshit.

Man, I kept considering getting back into this, but after seeing how bad shit has gotten since I last played a few years back, what's the point? Is there any super cringe woke dialogue in modern quests and stuff too?

They did a Diversity & Inclusion update in OSRS that changed a ton of NPCs and dialogue and in RS3 it's even worse.

I usually play in cycles, but the only stuff I remember is:
1. The DIE update mentioned above that did things like changed guards to have female models as well, along with stuff like removing the aforementioned Recruitment Drive part where you have to be a woman for the LotR reference. They did a whole blogpost of the changes, can probably find it on the wiki.
2. The Song of the Elves quest has an elf that's a fag, but it's done in such a way that I could easily see fags getting mad about it, because his husband is dead, and he dies (they give him a big funeral cutscene.) So he got "double fridged" or whatever. I think the "pansexual" character mentioned in the tweet is just that you can pick the same romantic options in the dialogue with her, regardless of whatever character sex you have, because they're lazy for "inclusivity."

Riots? No but there is some vocal disgust for it in game and on Reddit as well as an outright refusal by some to take part in some of the events they've forced on the RS3 player bases throats. The nonpozzed players are a dying breed.

Recruitment Drive had a puzzle that required the player to be a female to complete. It was a knight "no man can beat in battle." The makeover mage was absolutely necessary for a large portion of the playerbase to complete that step of the quest.

But, hey, Null, Gratz on figuring it out before Trump has.

Anyways runescape is just sunken cost fallacy. You've played so long, why quit now? I realized after updates like that that the game was getting progressively shittier, I had spent years logging in only to do dailies. Plus nothing meant anything anymore. Back in runescape classic, stats meant something, and for the longest time, prices on endgame shit was high cause only a few people could get the stuff. Hell, I remember catching those high level imps with hunting and selling them for an insane amount cause only like 900 other people could. Everyone is 99 nowadays due to power and xp creep.

Only thing I really miss was shitting on the saradominists.
 
Fortunately osrs (the only game that matters) is probably fine because everything is done be community vote. There's no way jagex would break this rule because it would kill the game worse than eoc
 
This sucks hard, even if I was a zoomie that didn't play Runescape, I'm not familiar with the game, isn't there an non-pozzed variant of this? I am not disappointed though, it is expected that anything that becomes popular will become compromised.

Fortunately older single player and LAN, Custom servers games are less affected by this or easily mitigated.

New quests in RS3 are the worst. From pronouns to cringey sarcasm. I ranted about this to my friend who's big into lore. Raven, for all spearheading diversity into the game, did a decent enough job with the game lore for over a decade. That was such a PR move by them. No muslim gave two shits about the whole Ali meme. It was even part of documented lore, until they retconned it. Tyson Fury was calling himself Gypsy King around that time too (for those that don't know, every 'Ali' NPC in Pollnivneach relevant to The Feud quest was renamed & Gypsy Aris is now called Aris because calling someone Gypsy is worse than rape). But no, Fagex are right and the playerbase are wrong. There was a storm in the community when it happened. Unpaid reddit and discord janny faggots successfully quashed and banned all dissent...

Which makes no sense because it's supposed to be a medieavel, historically political marriage. I never liked how it forces it either because you could change sex and it forced the NPC to become bi. Watch them add a third marriage option in the future: the princex
