He was well written accidentally. You can tell because Miles and Kerry tried writing him as a tyrannical dictator, when he actually comes off as someone trying to actually save his people only to be constantly sandbagged and betrayed by the people that are supposedly helping him, actively ruining all of his efforts and making things worse.

Iron Wood dindu nuffin wrong, had he stuck his gun into Ruby's mouth and pulled the trigger, he would have been a true hero.

Don’t forget that What’s said to be Cinder’s best outing in V4 was apparently because they couldn’t get Jessica Nigiri into the recording booth to do her lines.

I have finished volume 3. Pyrrha death hit me in the feels ngl. That I like and I could see the the potential for the show if they kept it like this. Didnt care about Penny tbh. But man I did not expect to be in my feelings when Pyrrha kissed Jaune yet here I am.

Also I love Ironwood and his interaction with Torchwick. Ironwood’s voice actor is the best one by far. Maybe Torchwick’s is better, but it’s pretty even.

Torchwick going out like that sucked and now I have to watch stupid fucking cinder.
There was so much they could do with Torchwick, but instead amg HERES CINDER. I hope she’s fucking dead.


Weiss is too good for this show tbh. I love her Character. Hopefully they don’t butcher her.

I like the Sun and Neptune Bromance.

I DO NOT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THE MAIDENS AND ITS WEIRD.

Also should have saved the fall for much later.

So you finished the Beacon arc. Prepare yourself. For what’s about to come will be varying levels of pain. Honestly, I think you’re getting closer to being able to learn about Fixing RWBY.

Honestly I started lurking here and saw the downfall of rooster teeth and I read that rwby was so bad. So I wanted to try it for myself. Honestly not that big into anime/weeb stuff used to watch dbz/gundam/Zoids back in the day, but I was intrigued given I was a big red vs blue fan. So I wanted to see what the fuss was about.

I think there could have been a good show, but some choices are just really dumb.

It's nothing against you, it's just funny to me to read a fresh perspective from a first time viewer and it's all the same complaints as people had ten years ago. This isn't to minimize your input, it's actually really hilarious how universally recognizable the issues RWBY has really are.

I also agree with you, this show is wasted potential, it could have been if not good then at least tolerable, and ho boy if you think the writing up to this point has been bone headed just you wait until V5 rolls around because you are about to enter the Twilight Zone. V4 was the show's last glimpse of being even potentially good, after that it descends into unsalvagable territory.

I really liked the tournament in season 3 and wanted it to play out. Especially if it ended up with JNPR vs RWBY I truly believe not having that was a huge mistake. That’s what I am talking about. We could have seen some really intriguing storylines. Instead we get maiden and cinder crap. It’s just baffling to me.

You’ve finished what’s considered the good part. There’s still decent moments and such going forward, but the story quality is gonna start to drop from here on.
