Finished volume 5. I see what everyone was talking about. Show went downhill. Salem is terrible and the maiden shit is god awful.

I was worried they killed off best girl Weiss after killing off best girl Pyrrha. Cause apparently we can’t have normal female characters with personal growth because they’re straight.

So we’re just moving on from Sun and not going to see a Neptune reunion?

Hate Oscar.

My boy ironwood being treated like crap.

I did see an interesting theory on YouTube that said Pyrrha is apart of cinder which is why cinder summoned the spear

And finishing V5, you are ready. You can now truly begin to comprehend the full depth of….Celtic Phoenix’s Fixing RWBY.

What's your opinion on her mostly being a jobber from now on? I don't think she's decisively won a fight since V3.
Didn't she beat Marrow? And she beat Hare for Ruby, because God forbid Ruby achieve anything in the show that is named after her. If anyone's the team jobber it's Rose.

Here's a betterplaylist if you wanna skip the bullshit.

But if you wanna see the highlights, they REALLY start with FRWBY V4:
Play this as you read for full effect.
  • Celtic having a crew called The Sketchy Huntsman make art and 3D models and even animations of scenes that weren't in the main show
  • Blake joining what's basically Menagerie's police force alongside Sun. And it's headed by Kali.
  • The kidnap Blake arc being pushed up to V4.
  • Ilia getting arrested and being interrogated about her time in the White Fang.
  • Neo joining a rehab group of Yang and Neptune under the name Jane Doe and her and Yang becoming travel buddies.
  • The Malachite twins becoming one, sort of (read: one of them goes crazy and takes aspects from the other)
  • Roman Torchwick becoming the host of Ozpin, taking Oscar's role.
  • Roman getting a backstory involving Brunswick Farms.
  • The Branwen tribe getting more screentime and development than the main show (so they aren't a village of Elder Scrolls NPCs.)
  • Vernal getting a redesign and a lot of scenes with Weiss.

I’m the biggest Neptune fan, but wtf

@Calzaghe - An important part of Volume 3 is that he gets paralyzed from the back down through a sharp object penetrating his spine. All for "shock value" and "stakes."

Trust me, other than shock value, there's not much substance compared to the original RWBY. Still repeating the same story decisions.

But at the same time, adding some extra layers of WTF.

What in the ever loving fuck. I would say that’s fanfiction esque, but that’s beyond dumb.

The mark of the best WTFanfiction.

Volume 6 is at least an improvement. I mean it's not saying much but it was the first time I actually cared and was interested in the show again since the end of Volume 3.

V6 should have been titled "The apology." You can tell they were panicking after V5 because they broke Neo out of the glass case and the rest of the volume was basically just finally giving the fans what they wanted, which shows that they CAN make the show everybody wants, they just mostly refuse to do so.

Up until they got to Argus anyway, then it all went back downhill.

And even with that, they were kneecapped by Gen Lock.
