>Fictional characters put into a high intensity stressful situation forced to make decisions and formulate tactics they might otherwise be uncomfortable with or unwilling to do.

I AM LE TRIGGERED PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME DILATE YAMATEEE!

The next world war can't come fast enough holy fuck.

It definitely feels like excitement for the show has waned considerably in the time between volumes
Usually when you delay something for over a year that tends to happen
Not a drill. We have an episode.
Wow, this was very edgy. And the idea of making it a fucking AMV instead of something that's actually legible is stupit too but it's pretty par for the course when it comes to SYTO, the pretentious fuck.

The best part about this is that the song isn't an original, which means he never got another songwriter and the composer has possibly left.

Certainly THIS will fix RWBY.

Also, Fixing V6 is exciting to me. Raymond had VERY weird feelings about Jaune's lesbian sister, and rewriting the Salem backstory will be a nightmare and a half.

Don't forget that Celtic tied Roman's backstory to Brunswick Farms, and said that he wasn't sure if he was going to include Maria.

@Rhymes 19 What else did he say about Saffron and Terra besides calling them bland, milquetoast, and without any of that stereotypical shoujo-ai tropes?

He felt disturbed by them. If you watch the reaction, his face absolutely falls when he sees Saffron has a wife. In the video, he says he doesn't care about them because they're randos. He's a "connoisseur," after all. BritishNinja, who is sane, loves that the show didn't make it a big deal. Raymond says they needed to handle it more delicately, because it sets off "bells in his head." He WANTS to enjoy them, but can't.
Iirc, he later clarified it's because they were the first healthy couple in the show (false, that's Ghira and Kali) and he didn't like the "implication" that only gay couples were functional.
Here's him trying to explain himself.

He has an issue with the couple because they’re nobodies? And are just….there? Also, how more delicately can they present that which was already presented? What was he expecting? What was he wanting? Honestly, I can’t wait to see how this is handled in FRWBY V6. There could be the potential for disaster.

Also, that video was a hot mess in terms of Celtic and FMF.

I can't believe I'm saying it, but of all the lesbian couples I've seen in cartoons in the past several years, Saffron and Terra remain right about the most respectable. They're two functional adults with a healthy relationship and there's no bizarre fanfare around it. The bar is that low and, for me, keeps getting pushed lower.

I assume Raymond wants some kind of struggle so they can earn their relationship, as lesbians must. Maybe he felt uncomfortable because they were a calm and happy family.

That seems kind of counter-intuitive to me, right?

You would think that as someone who loathes to see tokenism in his works, having a mundane portrayal instead of "muh minority victimhood" would be something he naturally would agree with.

Somehow, he conflates the latter with "muh stakes in writing and catharsis payoff". As if he's turning the usual breakups, fights and arguments, and tearjerkers in every relationship into a major angst plot point in the work, hetero or otherwise. As if lesbians have "extra interpersonal struggles" within their relationships.
