I'd argue you could if you look at shit like Samurai Jack and Primal. There are episodes that aren't that but it is mostly action in a fun setting, something RWBY easily could have been if they didn't decide to make the show a serious serialized mess.I think the issue is that literally everything else in RWBY lets down that simple hook, you can't make every episode one big fight scene.
What retards like Celtic don't get is that the answer to fixing RWBY isn't to add more shit, it's that you need to pare it down. RWBY only started to get insufferable when they tried to grow up the formula and make Avatar rather than lighthearted action with a nugget of darkness. That's basically why all attempts to fix RWBY all look so drastically different. Plus all the bloat and clutter of the cast and storyline means everybody wants to keep and throw away different things.
Ten to twenty minute relatively episodic adventures with the occasional character arc for the main and extended cast. There I fixed it.
Yeah sure there are better properties but RWBY had the appealing characters and tone. It did have merits at one point, and did feel fairly unique at one time. It just doesn't anymore.Plus there are a million action properties that RWBY aped that are way better. Racism? Magic Systems? Fullmetal Alchemist. A colorful cast with different powers? Jojo and fuckin' Power Rangers. Monster Hunting? The Monster Hunter franchise. That's my two cents anyways.
