It was nice seeing past dead characters kick the crap out of Ruby and bully her into suicide... Oh wait, that was supposed to be sad?

Can anyone explain the "themes" that I'm supposed to be finding "distressing" in this episode? If anything, this episode is the one I've been looking forward to the most. The confrontation between Ruby and Neo that's been like, what, four seasons in the making? And after this episode, I'd actually feel bad for Neo if she dies after this. She finally got everything she wanted, and you can almost hear the writers going "yep, our most powerful character in the show that has literally never lost a fight has completed her arc, time to retire her". If Neo's gone, and Yang's arc is finished by her becoming a lesbian, then there really is nothing left for me in this show, other than seeing how this ends.

The official RWBY account posted the scene of Ruby’s meltdown on their account…and cut it off literally right before the “homophobic Ruby” part started.

Hilarious.

I've been waiting a long time for things to finally come to a head and I can't believe they actually delivered some good edge.

Ruby got absolutely destroyed physically and mentally. It was beautiful character writing.

Will I actually watch the entire season? No. Not until they ai voice back in vics voice on the high seas, but I gotta give em props.

Hey, remember when Ruby wanted to belittle Jaune for feeling bad about his “make believe friends” being killed?

How’d that work out for you, Ruby?

It’s okay, though. Neo will be redeemed and forgiven by the end anyway.

And Jaune was right about the cat.
