Our homie Squira is on the mark with what this show needs! If Ruby's personality and body gets reincarnated like some stupid Attack on Titan Eren bird rip off bullshit than at least have Ruby be reincarnated as a hot girl like the one on the right instead of her current ugly tumblr captain marvel rip off looking ass so I can at least jerk off to something in this show if nothing else is good about it.

I'm glad Oum croaked before he could witness the downfall of his magnum opus.

Ruby as a character has been annoying to me since the last season. Her little bitchfit in chapter 7 kind of made me laugh, it wasn't good timing in the episode and made her come off as a super edgy retard embarrassing herself. I know they're all supposed to be teens or whatever but still. Her also being afraid of Crescent Rose makes no narrative sense to me. Also in the scene where she killed herself, why didn't they do anything? Yang and the others were literally only 4 feet away and they just watched it happen. God this show sucks now.

It's a common TV trope that characters will sometimes hold the stupid orb so the plot can progress. Talented writers will either avoid the stupid orb or creatively find a way for the characters to not notice/be distracted enough for the stupid orb to not be obvious.

I mean I get they did it for the plot, but they could have added at least a shot of them running to her or trying to help her after she died (for example, checking a pulse or some shit).

But that would require talent or effort, RT doesn't have any employees that fit the bill for that.

Yet another do nothing episode where people just sit around and talk. Although I've started to think that his little creator club that he had last volume may have broken down and collapsed completely since he doesn't seem to be getting hardly any art anymore compared to last volume especially where the episodes were longer and he had artists tripping over themselves to be involved.

Jesus, Jaune finally gets some comfort, but at the worst possible time tonally. Which has RWBY fans furious at Jaune and want him dead/gone.

Also no one really seems to care too much that Ruby tea-ed herself because they seem under the impression she’ll come back fine. Which they later find her as like a tree statue and just say “she’ll come back however and that’s good”. So bad handling of suicide again, shocker.

Jaune fights Neo-Cat and actually almost wins, but then the cat uses Neo’s power to turn into Penny, which makes him pause and Neo-Cat uses a Pyrrha clone to backstab him, then Weiss shoots fire, misses Neo-Cat and hits Jaune, knocking him off the tree and also probably “resetting” him or whatever the tree does.

Oh, and Summer Rose again.

Great job, RT.

As stated before, even more evidence of A.I. having a better sounding voice for Ruby than the actual show.
And people say that A.I. is complete garbage and bad for humanity. Give me a fucking break!

I'm blaming ☽ kira-ann ☾ BEES REAL 🐝 For the disgusting and tragic discrimination of A.I.
The only issue I think is you only get so many words to use per month

So the team literally does nothing but handicap everyone else on their team (again) and its up to Jaune and Ruby (but mostly Jaune) to fix everything (again).

Jesus fucking Christ RT. Its like they have a personal challenge every volume to make 3 of the 4 members of the main team the absolute fucking worst...and unfortunately they keep succeeding.

I think the scene at the beginning of V9 where they draw their weapons at their younger selves really sums it up.
The whole visual implication that who team RWBY is now is objectively better than they were before, which is obviously untrue, both from a visual and a character development standpoint. There wasn't really anything wrong with the four girls being younger and inexperienced.
Sure, Weiss was an egotistical brat, but she wasn't used to working with other people, or even having friends for that matter. She hadn't really tasted freedom. Weiss now? She's been reduced to the comic relief, when she has just lost her father, was able to bring her other three family members back together, and has lost everything she's ever known. There were no moments to consider the emotional implications these events would have on Weiss. Arresting her dad, ("I've officially put my foot down on this man that has controlled my life, and now the four of us are finally free from him."), repairing her relationships with Winter, Willow, and Whitley, ("We've been broken for years, but now we can actually be a family."), Jacques's death ("He was a dick, but he was my dad."), and Atlas's destruction. Weiss doesn't have a home now. Ruby and Yang still have their home safe in Patch, and Blake's home is ok in Menagerie. But no, let's just have her get her panties wet over Jaune, who I feel like has never really been an actual potential romantic interest for Weiss. (And it's not the time, the world is ending, and they gotta get home) Weiss worked OK as a comic relief character in earlier volumes, where her ego would get the best of her, but she isn't that same girl any more. She should be at a very low point right now, she has her mother, sister, and brother to worry about, but oh wow, look! A fucking purple cat, yippee!
Blake had just come off from being a literal terrorist, but she was still a freedom fighter, and determined to do good in the world with her skills. Now her arc was finished in the laziest way possible several volumes ago, and now she's just become a step above being a damsel in distress for Yang. Blake and Weiss have so much untapped potential with how they're essentially from warring factions, but have managed to become close friends in spite of it. Blake and Ruby do as well now, because now Blake is seeing the world with new eyes, full of wonder, and Ruby is the brooding one. With all the useless talking done in the show, so little of it is done between characters. Instead it's just a lore dump, and incredibly boring, because this cast of characters with diverse personalities and backgrounds never debate it among themselves, they just kind of all mindlessly agree to whoever the speaker is. I don't know why a writer would shy away from character-building scenes so much, when characters are really what make people fall in love with your writing. And there's the minor benefit that RWBY shippers go nuts every time two characters make eye contact, so Just! Make! Them! Talk!
Yang is so unlikeable now. Her personality as established in the original volumes is that she is a very protective group mom, a trait that you'd expect to see amplified as time goes on. The stakes are rising, she's lost one of her arms, she'd do her damndest to keep her sister and other teammates safe. Bumblebee shippers want to know why their precious uwu lesbo ship is so hated? M&K can't write a romance without giving Yang tunnel vision. That is not how relationships in real life work. When you get a boyfriend/girlfriend, you don't somehow lose connection to the rest of your family/friends/support group. Bumblebee also sucks ass because Yang and Blake have had such barebones interactions aside from acting giggly and blushy. At the end of V3, Blake is distrustful of Yang when she "breaks" Mercury's leg, and Blake runs back to Menagerie after Yang loses her arm, which really hurt Yang. Yang and Blake never really process this distrust when they reunite. Bee faggots bitch about Sun leaving his team, while Blake did the same thing just to run home to mom and dad. Sun left his team to help Blake's personal quest, not to mention, none of his teammates were left fucking disabled. Yang and Blake have basically no emotional impact from killing Adam. It could have worked better if Adam was a continual threat to RWBY and co, but he just kind of appeared, because the writers had to do something to get back viewers after V5. Adam was also the first person they've killed, and a person that Blake knew very well, and was once in love with. Yang lost her arm because of him for fuck's sake. But, because this is RWBY, neither girls have lasting trauma from these events. In all seriousness, it's like Bumblebee essentially mooched off of the growth that Blake and Sun had during their Menagerie arc. The fans essentially pretend Blake and Yang have had the conversations that Blake and Sun have had, when they actually haven't. Blake opens up to Sun about how she thinks Yang would be really hurt by her, and Yang opens up to Weiss about how Blake really hurt her by running off when she needed her. Yang and Blake have not had this discussion with each other. They're unintentionally an unhealthy couple with communication issues. Yeah, Yang and Sun are very similar character-wise, with the main difference being that Yang has a quick temper. I kinda wish M&K could have explored that aspect of Yang, where Yang has like this small character arc in which she's grappling with the possibility of accidentally hurting her loved ones. You know, something real life people often have to question about themselves. But no, Yang is perfect, Blake is all that matters. Fuck her little sister who she partly raised, and fuck Weiss who seems to look up to her.
I'm not gonna talk about Ruby because I'm tired, and fuck her.
