I definitely remember her sister doing fuck all about all the signs that Ruby was suicidal and spending all her time with the furry terrorist GF instead of helping her.

I'm still fucking floored by how bad the show made it's allegories for racism and suicide. And tried to justify terrorism. The fuck were they thinking.

I was pretty sure they "Killed her" as some sort of weird meta-punishment for "Homophobic Ruby" becoming so popular.
I bailed out after season one...what the fuck?

I figured that torchwick would make a return at some point since him and ironwood seemed to be the two competent characters of the series actually working towards their goals and objectives. Everyone else just kinda did random nonsensical shit.

That did happen, yeah. Especially egregiously in Volume 8, if I recall.

He technically did return, and started torturing Ruby, but he actually wasn't actually real. Real enough to torture physically, but not real enough to be real.

I watched one anime in my life. It was called the book of bantorra ( might be bantora?) It was a compelling mystery series with a great plot. The japs ended that series by having jesus randomly appear and killing everyone.

They taught me an important lesson. This sounds so moronic that I'm sure I could write a better scenario then what the writers came up with.

Let me guess it was a grim with some kind of freddy power to make dream inflict physical damage?

No, Neo just out of nowhere learned to make her illusions real in every possible conceivable way (including personality-wise, powers, etc), and so brought him back with her powers. That was after spamming shit tons of the most powerful enemy in the world they all landed in.

I weirdly accept that? Semblances evolving to become more powerful doesn't seem outrageous. It's an ass pull but I expected worse.

Does the series turn itself around? I figured that once Roman left the series would turn stupid desperately trying to sell cinder off as a real threat.

They made Cinder into a minion of an even bigger threat, abandoned the school setting for end-of-the-world stakes, and added so much new lore that the series became a bloated mess.

So to answer your question, no. It did not turn itself around.

Just tired of series that sputter out rather then have proper endings.
I mean, RWBY doesn't have an ending. Their parent company literally died like yesterday.
Ending of season two. Asked a buddy who said three was them wandering around randomly in the woods.
You are confusing three with four. Three is about Cinder's plot to destroy Vale and Beacon.

I don't think any of them were better than 1-3 (and are a lot different just in general), but I liked 4-5 (despite people heavily disliking the latter), 8 eventually gets good (but starts as god awful), 9 is okay, and 6 and 7 more or less suck. Please note that everything past 6 suffers from rollercoaster of quality every episode or so. Some episodes are well made, some are literal garbage.

Fair enough. It was a series I had fun with and was mildly curious seeing what happened to it when it popped up on recents. Shame to hear its canceled. I might of had my fill but it sounds like it was still enjoyable for people.

Likely gonna skip out on it but I hope it gets picked up by someone. I really enjoyed the concept and setting of the show. If it does happen I hope they decide between silly over the top fight show or serious grounded drama. It always felt like it tripped over itself trying to be both.

It's even better with the knowledge that they already did the almost exact same suicide analogy in their other series Genlock, calls it 'Ascension' too, and also tries to back pedal about the suicidal implications in ways that just make it sound like Heaven's Gate cult-speak where a main character killing themself was actually part of the solution the whole time.

Also, I'm still amazed that Gen:Lock was described unironically as "unlike other mecha shows, this one is about...the characters".

And they almost copied the design of the robots from FMP:

It was a series I had fun with
Why? When I watched seasons 1 and 2 I had so many questions frustratingly running through my head it could legally be classified as schizophrenia. There was no room for fun when I was that confused.

I am willing to suspend disbelief in the moment and enjoy over the top characters and fight scenes. Later I kinda get those questions... but its after the viewing.

I didn't really get the fanus racism thing though...everyone treated them the same. Even the asshole characters were just as big of assholes to humans.

Why would you want to "finish" this god awful story?

Its frankly easier to just start over and tell a good story at this point.
Let me try to guess what's going to happen! I've read this one before, BUT THIS IS DEFINITELY GOING TO HAPPEN!

Pietro and Maria come in riding the college reject of a "robot" while playing RWBY's soundtrack while they easily mow down the Grimm - EVEN THE GODDAMN GRIMM DRAGON WHO WAS TOTALLY A THREAT, YOU GHEYS!

Ruby defeats Salem with Talk no Jutsu and everybody holds hands and fuck. THE END!

Honestly, Rooster Teeth dying is the best thing that could happen to RWBY. Now they just need to reboot it and put everything that came after V3/V4 in the trash. Or better yet, burn it.

Whoever tries to “finish the story“ is being delusional. That trash is beyond saving.
