Why did the Ruby and Yang short feel so... Romantic? The way Yang is drawn, the way they talk, the way it looks like Yang is straight cupping Ruby's face right at the end (I know it's supposed to be her shoulder)

I think somebody at RT misunderstood the assignment. Also Tai is away on assignment. WHAT ASSIGNMENT!? THE WORLD IS ENDING? WHAT COULD HE POSSIBLY BE DOING!?

I feel like that's something you'd see in a work written by someone who knows how to entertain people.

Also, did rooster teeth ever explain why everyone's arms are short and why the furries have two sets of ears? I know it's due to incompetency, but was there ever an in-story explanation?

No. They have pretty much shrugged their shoulders and refused to explain anything about Faunus being the way they are. It's just magic. Blake has two sets of ears because if she didn't have human ears the twist with her being a faunus would have been too obvious. Even though they could have just said her human ears are fake.

Basically the closest we get to an explanation is that Faunus parts are totally random for no reason. Maybe because the Faunus God just slapped people and animals together with no rhyme or reason.
 
They really should've just apologized and promised to fix those issues in future seasons. But they didn't, of course, because they're lazy.
 
You know the success of the Amazing digital circus just highlights how much they fucked up with RWBY, and Gen:lock to an extent.

Ok I will be fair and ignore the first episode ADC episode’s views because ok maybe it was luck and memes. Whatever. Benefit of doubt. Now, the SECOND Amazing Digital Circus episode is not even a week long and it already has 30 million views. As of today.

Forget RWBY. Its been 4 days and it has more views than ANYTHING on RT’s YouTube channel period.

Not only that, but each ADC episode is released completely subbed, AND dubbed in many language. Only two episodes and it already has a lot more animation quality and fame than RT’s crown jewel. Meanwhile RT tought giving us English subs was praise worthy?

They had no excuse. They were backed by one of the biggest multinational entertainment companies, that is WB, and a small indie studio is destroying them. You can‘t even use money to excuse them because Barbara revealed RWBY was burning so much money It was more expensive than most top tier anime.

I maintain that RWBYs inflated costs were 100% caused by having too many cooks in the kitchen. RT wanted to pretend to be a big boy animation studio, but clearly have no idea how to tard wrangle outside of forcing people to sleep at their desks to meet deadlines.

Granted, ADC had 6 months to make their second episode, the amount of people working on it is tiny in comparison. RT are just wholeheartedly incompetent and should be mocked.

This is the only thing that makes sense to me. The animation was clearly done with massive crunch and underpaid, but I would bet dollars to donuts that every voice actor, popular RT face, and celebrity cameo got a very, very, nice cheque to cash every volume.
