Someone actually made the first two volumes structured like the Tales of series. Truly, RWBY is a shitty JRPG. https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLM9lVP5_rVu1hC0ukVG3lGVdsv0MxUV1P
Either Hero Hei realizes that Rooster Teeth might as well be another soulless corporation now; its days of independence and creativity all but six feet under, or he inadvertently shills for them without wising up that they're playing their consumers for fools with a few olive branches, only to backstab them again with this cheap, obscenely pointless game with Ghosts of Tsushima out and on fire.

At this point, I'm just trying to work on a thread for RT, cause they haven't just fallen from grace, they fell and slammed their face on the pavement with all the shit that's gone down. Between the bullshit with Gen:LOCK, the failure of Vicious Circle, and Bernie noping the fuck out to another country, it's really clear that they're on a permanently sinking ship and trying their best to keep it afloat.

Vicious Circle?

Vicious Circle?

It was a very, very, very shitty game that was barely covered outside of RoosterTeeth. Literally, I have not even seen anyone outside of Achievement Hunter touch it. Think Evolve, but crank the shittiness up to 12, and you have Vicious Circle. It was dead within three months and RT refunded everyone who bought the founders pack and made it free to play, and no one even wanted to touch it still.

Edit: Hero Hei did a video on it

and if anyone wants to see my rough as fuck draft, you can view it here.

Another reason why it failed so badly was because it's just once again -- another multi-player only video game.

I've said this before and I will keep saying it till I'm fucking blue in the face -- a game has to withstand the test of time on its own with a great campaign where players can enjoy a compelling narrative for a good amount of time. If the game can't stand on its own feet without going "this game is fun with friends", then it will eventually join the rest of the mediocre garbage that gets the guillotine of obscurity in less than a year because the market nowadays is so over-saturated with shit that Vicious Circle cannot even be considered a tiny speck of a footnote on what its genre is about.

No fucking shit a game can be fun with friends, in fact, any game can be fun with friends, it's no fucking rocket science.

One more reason why this game failed is that the marketing is utter shit. They have zero idea how to market the game to public and above all, the whole game is just a fucking aimless amalgam of crappy whack ass ideas for the sake of comedic whack-ass shenanigans.

The only genuine demographic this game is selling itself for is once again -- wait for it -- the voice actors that only RT loyalists would eat up without a peep for genuine care for quality, especially Geoff and Barb.

It's very little wonder why it fell on its face and was barely talked about because they have so fucking very little to show for it aside from the usual Rooster-Teeth whacky hijinks.

Apparently there used to be fans wanting to give it third party support despite the old dev team pulling the plug on that whole shabang before the development team got dissolved and went belly under after the failure of the game. Thank god these fans have zero idea how to do it and just lost interest eventually and walked away from it, as it really should.

Honestly, you can technically support the game only if the server is still on, but would you even want to, is another question. You'll be better off watching paint dry than to get a player to connect with in this piece of turd.

Just let this game vanish into obscurity like so many other failed games wanting that piece of hero-shooter/battle-royale pie that just failed to appeal.

I’d say that it looks pretty good, except that for the drinking section, you could add stuff from Rooster Teeth’s Animated Adventures series which is just visuals to the stories they tell on their podcasts. Also, on Barbara Dunkleman’s podcast Always Open, they always started with a shot that was suggested by a fan. Also also, they have tons of podcasts if you wanna dig into them...or you can go through the RT Animated Adventures, which could show things that go on behind the scenes. (https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7C128DC8047D1C82). Also, you can add RT Life which is just them in their behind the scenes adventures. (https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCC90DD26EEB96253)

yeah, I plan on expanding the drinking section, cause there are a lot of lolcow moments in it that are highlighted in RTAA like Bernie getting drunk at a convention, and the time he ditched a fan instead of letting them take a selfie with him, along with the time Matt Hollum got so drunk he paid thirty people's dinners and nearly couldn't pay his mortgage, oh and they brought him to meetings pissed off his ass, the now CEO of the company. Not to mention, the RoosterTeeth Podcast was initially called Drunk Tank. I'll see what I can expand upon with Barb's shitty podcast, along with this other podcast about animation Kerry tried starting.

Also, they have so many podcasts, I honestly believe you can add a section on podcasts on its own. If anything, the stories they have and what they say on it would show how much RT won’t change how they do things in the name of being professional and just run things like a frat house. Also, IIRC, the RT podcast was where Miles said some things about taking criticism, even if it wasn’t about his writing from what I remember.

Honestly, there's so many pilot ideas they had, that I could make a section on that. There's Million Dollars, But Animated, Haunter (Achievement Hunter but going to spoopy haunted places), some show about a robot asking stupid questions, which essentially was just another On The Spot but more retarded. Though upon actually browsing their site, I found a new podcast called Red Web, and their first episode is about Lake City Quiet Pills.... which, you know, totally hasn't been covered in a much simpler manner. Another thing I notice, that after all these years, Rooster Teeth's site has never had a viewer count, and still doesn't.

For some reason, I can’t stop randomly thinking about how unintentionally racist the way M&K handled Adam and the Faunus racism/White Fang arc in one fell swoop at Adam’s final moments. Like the dude was branded by the SDC over his eye and is now half-blind, that sort of gave him justification on his radical worldview. Of course this will probably never be brought up in the show and the last thing we have is basically an escaped (and probably abused) slave being killed by a girl of the same race but much more privileged who betrayed him with her amputee human girlfriend. All because of...lesbians I guess?

I've mentioned it before, Adam and Blake could of been a great commentary on racism and the difficulty of fighting for equality when privileged people of your race hijack it. You would have Adam a faunus who is unable to live a normal life because of his branding, who came from slavery and had to fight for everything he had then you would have Blake a spoiled LITERAL princess who joined the white fang to be cool and rebellious but stopped when she was not allowed to fully control the white fang. Blake can disguise herself as a human and never had to deal with the discrimination passed a few mean words yet they wanted you to treat her like the ultimate victim.

If they had brains and the balls they could have made a great commentary about rich, light skinned celebrities claiming to know they understand what it's like to struggle on the streets. Shit you could draw a direct comparison between faunus working in the mines unable to get out and blacks working in inner cities unable to get out. They could of broken Blake down and made her a more caring and understanding character, maybe even convince some viewers to stop screeching long enough to let people in actual trouble to ask for help. They could of even made the moment they shank Adam have meaning if they tried.

Have Blake come to the conclusion that the only way faunus will be treated normally is if the work together with humans and prove they are equal. She can develop this point of view with her experiences with RWBY and how her parents are succeeding in relations with the other nations. Have her fear of Adam not be because he is stronger but that she knows she can't prove him wrong and is afraid a conversation with him would prove her views wrong and destroy the life she built. The fight would be between the two conflicting sides one that thinks Faunus will only be free if they break free and one that thinks they will be free if they work with the humans. Two opinions formed by the lives of the people fighting for them, hell yang jumping in could be part of blakes argument and when they kill them together Blake could break into tears because she knew to some extent Adam would never see her point of view and they were bound to fight one another to the death.Throw in something about her always being afraid her leaving the man with no familly/friends/loved ones because she refused to reason with him caused him to become the monster he was and you have an okay character arch. There you get to have the lesbians shank an escaped slave and not fill it with meaningless insults.

I apologize for going on but what they did to Adam was just awful, especially with the last words he heard was about him being alone. I know they were going for the stereotypical anime "You don't have the power of friendship so you lose" but it came off as a rich chick shanking an escaped slave that she tricked into thinking she cared about him then taunting him that he wouldn't be missed. Like no shit blake the guy lost his familly, only had you as a confidant and when the actual abuse victim lashed out at you for not trying to understand a situation you fucking ran.

Also there was something about him being abusive, you know because he slapped blake once.

And one more thing: in 2015 so, ScrewAttack became partners with RT, which later became Death Battle being under the RT umbrella once ScrewAttack’s YouTube channel rebranded at Death Battle. I also made a Death Battle thread if you’re interested: https://kiwifarms.net/threads/death-battle-death-battle-cast-dbx-desk-of-death-battle.63313/

Its pretty decent, you will need to add more examples and expand Cow Chop, Funhaus, sugar pine 7 etc. as to why their collapse can or should be attributed to RT's decline. your also forgetting the never was group called "side show" which was a group created when RT signed on Youtubers Criken, Bedbanana and tomato gaming that never really did anything and was disbanded a year or so ago when they left RT during the great collapse of Cow chop, funhaus, SP7, etc. I remember there being a bunch of podcasts with these people where they talked about working with RT and how there was basically no structure and poor communication with all collabs and events.

I also think you should delve a bit into the shitshow that was their Lets play live stuff. I have heard some shit behind the scenes with that, but nothing conclusive from what I was able to dredge up.

Any chance of you mentioning that grubby little opportunist and diversity hire, Fiona Nova?

I'm willing to bet that Funhais was shit even before RT.

I always kinda believed that Blake was just Hybristophillic: Has a sexual attraction to people who do bad things and get away with it.... Her killing Adam was more her just wanting the new "Alpha" in her life win because Yang can get away with doing crimes AND be considered a Hero for them. It stopped being about Racism and all that when Arryn started the Abuse Angle... and it went to FULL insane once the DC Comics went up. Blake's just a straight up bitch.

yeah, I'll happily add her to the Black Monkey section (a play on the chinese term White Monkey, where chinese companies hire white people for diversity points)

Good to know, after Mica started whining about how she was treated, that goblin Fiona leapt onto it. Literally no one was criticisng her for her race, that's for damn sure.
