The problem with having a human-shaped apocalypse who wants to destroy literally all humans is that she almost never has a good reason to let people slip, either in terms of capability or reason. She’s countered her intended weakness so thoroughly that the people who were meant to be her weakness are now her slaves.

Salem isn't going after Faunus. She's going after silver-eyed people. Silver-eyed people are her weakness (you can assume this since we've seen time and time again Ruby absolutely destroy Grimm + Salem's buddies with her deus ex machina eyes) so she must enslave any and all that she finds.
She probably missed Maria since Maria is now blind, and she probably missed Ruby because Ruby was very young and had no idea she'd become a Huntress in the future when Summer Rose was taken away.
She's not experimenting on Faunus. Shut the hell up SJW.

Salem's entire shtick is to kill everybody, including herself. Summer Fucking Rose, one of the most "privileged" characters in the show proper (by this lolcow's own lack of logic) is slated for a return via the Hound. All are equal in death. She even treats a psychopathic Faunus character as her most trusted lieutenant.

Salem can't form a bond with Humanity 2.0 because they're a different generation, and they all die anyways. Why should she give a shit about whether or not someone is a Faunus and has possible "Faunophobic" undertones? They're all inferior because they can't die or have magic, especially when her plan to spread magically empowered aryans, light and dark-skinned, by having her own daughters breed was the reason why Oz took the kids!

Maybe I'm just a fucking retarded white person, but what's with everyone constantly decrying "this fantasy race is clearly a metaphor for black people"? Black people exist in RWBY, and they aren't even relegated to being the fucking ape Faunus.

Well, this video covers it a lot:
. But in short, the Faunus racism aspect of the show has been said to be very poorly done, and in recent volumes, the extent of the badness has really seeped into a lot of things. And...people are starting to take notice on the less critical side of the fandom.
 
That's the risk of making a fictional group an analogy for a real group, some of your audience won't be smart enough to realize that not everything done with characters within said group is supposed to convey something about the real world analogy. The Faunus are minorities? Welp, now everything they do is seen as an illustration of what the writers actually think about those people, of course.
 
I think hbomberguy's video marked the first time a lot of people were made aware of how full of shit the faunus plot really is. Before then most of the complaints were tied to its pacong and Blake being separate from the main cast due to none of the others caring about Faunus issues.

These are the people who live their lives through the lens of how a Harry Potter or Star Wars character would react to something. Of course they treat this fantasy world as if it's real, they already don't live in reality.
