I never got why so many people draw her black when her skin color, outfits, and weapon all clearly have Asian elements in them. Like, why make her of all characters black? Is it because she's this world's equivalent to a minority?
I never ever understood that. It's one thing if they drew with more of a tan skin color since she's basically an island princess and it's similar to her mom's, but they draw her blacker than her colorsake.

Her name is black retard.

Yes, and here's why: she's part of the minority in the world of RWBY, and many have started to see the Faunus and the White Fang as going through what blacks had to go through in the Civil Rights movement, and with BLM, some have even gone as far as to notice that their plight has been done very, very badly.

Do you think if RWBY premiered a few years later, when Black Lives Matter became more prominent, would the White Fang would still be villains, or would they be lauded in-universe like Robyn Hill?

Okay RT, I do not understand your bullshit this time. Why is the genie able to make a new Penny and then make something else without her falling apart? Just because you gave him the parts to do so? That's retarded.

From what I understand this is what they where going for:

1. Remove all Penny's robot parts, use robot parts to build a second robot.
2. Penny is now Penny-Robot parts, which means she is human for some reason
3. The thing the Genie made was the second penny, so second Penny got snapped.

Like if you asked "Make me a new cup using the parts for this cup of orange juice but don't use the orange juice" the Genie would make a second cup that would go away once a new thing was made but the orange juice would just be released from the cup and spill on the ground without fading.

I can't think of a not-dumb way to put it because this is incredibly dumb, not foreshadowed at all, doesn't fit in with what little existing lore there is, and is explained poorly and in a rush. But that is my take on what they're trying to do.

So before the ass-pull, what have we learned about the staff?

So before the ass-pull, what have we learned about the staff?

From my memory
1. It can make things
2. Well things is going too far. I can make one thing and the thing it made before that disappears.
3. It is in Atlas and can be accessed by the Winter Maiden.
4. If you get it together with the other vague objects everyone in the world dies.

That is it as far as I know.

They already got retconned into being not-villains.
The thing about is is that you have people saying that they’re fighting for noble causes, and as a result, they shouldn’t be the villains/antagonists, or at least not be just a bunch of generic goons that get beat up because you need somebody for your action scene.

Technically everyone in the world doesnt DIE, it just calls the gods back to the world to judge humanity.

Seems like the writers are somehow trying to build up that humanity will be judged united and Salem will lose. Its a terrible story, I know.

The whole Penny thing is the RWBY equivalent of making your waifu come to laifu, literally.
Actual, literal, chocolate sundae bullshit makes more sense.

Typical end of history neoliberal fantasy. Also doesn’t properly set up a spinoff series, which RT will need if they want the franchise to continue.

I still think that making Penny human was one of the most boneheaded decisions the writers have ever made, but this wasn't even close to why I hated it so much.
Yeah, just because they based her character off of Pinocchio doesn’t mean they got to make her Pinocchio-like. And by that I mean, she didn’t need to turn human like he did in the Disney film.

That’s just being lazy and uncreative.

You've just given me this horrible idea that RoosterTeeth will make a Legend of Korra equivalent for RWBY.
