Another 2 minutes of STALKER 2 trailer has released, showing some indications.

  • OG guns such as sawn off double barreled TOZ, AKS-74u, and G36C has made a return under same alternated names.
  • Inventory layout has changed, along its icons.
  • Entire HUD also changed featuring compass lines and compass arrows, for better or worse.
  • Garbage map has made a return. Generator and Dead City map (from earlier trailer) will most likely playable in final product.

For the 1st vid, I wonder if these idiots want their darwin awards or something. Then again, last I recalled some of the devs in GSC did buy into Ukraines whole Neo Nazi shit.


As for the 2nd video, it looks nice, but Im getting some heavy CP77 vibes. How this whole shit is just pre rendered to make the game seem good.

I think they will shove real-life shit into it, heck they already changed the games name from "Heart of Chernobyl" to "Chornobyl" to make it sound more Ukrainian, they were busy screeching at the devs of Atomic Heart for daring to not comment about the situation in Ukraine or not dropping on their knees and apologizing for being Russians. Most I expect we'll see is either NPC going about "Dem Ruskie orcs invaded us!" or a Russian NPC going about how Putin is Hitler or something.

People are starting to get worried that "Chornobyl" is just going to become another Metro: Last Light. In that the game will be linear instead as opposed to Shadow of Chernobyl's open-world.

I hope to god that Stalker 2 doesn't come out. No matter what it's going to be infested with Ukr/Russian war shit, and end up being a disapointment given it's horrible dev cycle. Much like the devs who were fighting, I hope it stays dead.

Besides, we still have the Ray of Hope in development.
 
So, I watched a Russian stream yesterday where they took a look at both trailers, which I remind you were both titled "GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE", and the guys pointed out how simply staged and fake every single scene looked. Furthermore, they added how the script for STALKER 2 was leaked when development for it was scrapped right after Call of Pripyat came out, and judging from the leaked documents the devs are seriously using the same script from 2009 in this game. They couldn't be bothered to make a new fucking script for 14 years!

... I mean, EA does the same exact shit for like, two decades straight with just slight improvements over whatver codebase they have for their FIFA, Madden and other sports games.
NFS is an exception though...

Well, I get that, but I think it's kinda hilarious that GSC has been going "Oh, this is actual gameplay footage of the finished game" and once you look at it in detail, it shows all those are just quickly stitched together scenes of smaller areas. So, it kinda gives the impression these guys have jack shit done and just rolling on the Microsoft money.

I am 90% sure this game is going to be a utter failure on launch, sadly people will let that slide since they are Ukrainian.

I bet CDPR wish poland got invaded after cyberpunk released so they would have got a free pass, have the devs mentioned anything about modding? that might be the only saving grace of this game.

Not that I heard off, most of what I saw from those 2 fake trailers is just them showing off "Look what we can do with Unreal 5 and this totally actual gameplay guyz" which is funny, one of their guys actually did shit talk the engine back in 2018-2019 when he was in Russia for a convention. Not to mention, since Microsoft is bankrolling them, I want to ask what those chucklenuts doing with all that money.
 
It's really funny seeing people in this thread get annoyed by a word that was slightly changed to more accurately represent regional pronunciation.
I don't care what your opinions are about the war - people are dying and I don't understand how you see that's a bad thing (especially if you follow CHRIST the LORD).
I also don't care if GSC decides to add references about the war to the game. I guarantee their not gonna add anything that is Russophobic or whatever, but if a voice line referencing it makes you not touch the game at all, that's your prerogative.
Game is prob gonna be shit tho

Not gonna add anything Russophobic? Okay, then explain them removing the Russian dub from the game, how in the 2nd trailer the vats that hold the mutants reference Russia and JUST Russian people in it?

QUESTION: If the Russian occupation caused them to change Heart of Chornobyl sooo much to reflect a partisan anti-Russian belief, including changing the title spelling... Why don't they release an all-in-one update for Shadow of Chernobyl that also changes the title spelling among providing QOL fixes?
